GLP-1 Forum

anyone else getting considerably better results with Tirz compared to Reta?

I believe my chances of having allodynia is much higher than the general population due to me having autism. No, I don't have allodynia. I may find a particular fabric annoying or painful, or my find some contact with my skin painful, but no more than people in general do. I didn't have it when I was taking retatrutide.
The tone of your replies makes a lot of sense now! Not that I ever took offense, but some have. I like it. Direct and to the point! I do get the skin crawlies, reminds me of gout pain in the big toe but on my thighs and back and chest. Lovely feeling.

While I do not have autism, OCD is a MF. I’ll be back after I make sure the silverware is straightened in the drawer. (I kid, I put it up this am. I know it’s done correctly. 😉)

Sorry for having a tone that bugs people at times. I do care about people and try not to be offensive. But some things I do will offend people. I do like this forum for its directness. Although I'm on the Meso board too, I frequently have to skip over the chest thumping. I'm not a big fan of arguing where the point is to either offend or to win at all costs. I do wish I had a little bit of OCD; it would help me be more organized. (I say that tongue in cheek; I know that that having it would be tough.)

No offense here. Keep it real!

Thank you @meeklady how did you do schedule your titration up to 8?

started with 2mg reta last week and I have put on 2lbs this week 😢
I followed the titration schedule of 4 weeks for each dose until I got to 8 mg. I started to notice less food noise at 6 mg but the real magic happened at 8. I lost 30 lbs at 8 mg ( over about 8-10 weeks) and now at goal weight so trying to find the right maintenance dose now.

Trust the process and it will finally happen. Believe me, I was starting to lose hope during the first few months but am happy I persisted.

Evrything I’ve read and heard is that Reta appetite suppression is nowhere near that of Tirz, Sema, or Cag.

I’ve started on Reta and definitely feel some suppression, but definitely resonate with still feeling hungry
I'm doing 8mg / week if reta and the food noise is non existent. I have to force myself to eat and even then it's extremely small amounts. I never tried tirz though, I went from semaglutide to reta and skipped the tirz. I honestly started at 4mg and did that for 2 weeks and then went straight to 8mg. I had been doing the 2.5 semaglutide for a little over a year and hit a huge plateau.

Not true. There is always “ghetto Reta”- Tirz plus Survo or maz.
What does Maz and Survo do? I heard something about them and have been curious. I am 2.5mg of Reta I started low to avoid flu like symptoms I had with larger doses if Tirz. Overall, I am losing slow and that is okay. My issue lately has been "food noise". I don't sleep well and the last couple weeks I have been getting food to snack on. I have thought I might add some Tirz or Cag. Any thoughts you might want to share. Being on Reta has helped with inflamation issues.

I chose Reta since it’s supposed to be better than tirz but I do kind of miss it. But my freezer stash won’t even let me consider it again lmao

You and your sweet little Tasmanian devil are doing great but ohhhhh, I hate that you are having to battle so hard – the fatigue, the lack of your former motivation to work out ... and that most dread scourge, the one I personally have shockingly little patience for: "slow weight loss."

All of which is to say, you don't have to let your freezer stash of Reta stop you from trying something you would otherwise try.

This is the gray market, and there's always a way for you to do what you want to do.

Don't have the spare cash to buy Tirz? TRADE Reta for some! Not sure Tirz will help you anyway? Just get a vial or two to start out!

So many of us have stocked up on one peptide only to find at some point that we wanted/needed/were tempted to go in another direction.

There are probably people on this forum right now who have years' worth of Tirz in their freezer, but have switched to Reta. There are trustworthy small resellers among us who will ship you a half-kit for relatively little money.

If you think there's a chance that Tirz might make your life a little easier and your weight loss a little faster .... I hope you will consider giving yourself the opportunity to find out. You have earned it and you deserve it.

Hug that little devil of yours for me, and give his mommy the break she deserves 💜
