This may be a newbie question and for that I am not apologetic (sorry for that part). I am not new but, new enough to ask. Does anyone ever get nervous right before pinning a new vial? I did the research, searched the COAs, the calculations, and the reconstituting and filtering correctly but, I find myself getting a little anxious due to the nature of the unknown with it being grey, I understand that overall, we are "okay" in our research. Maybe I am reaching out for assurance. Please be kind in your answers 🙂

What specifically are you worried about?

If you're wanting to control your anxiety, me guessing at what's causing it could just give you more things to worry about that you haven't considered, being counter productive to your original intent.

Not a newbie question🙂 Yes, I still get anxious every time I pin a new batch. Even when I know there's nothing to worry about. But that's because I'm wired that way. Not everyone will do this. But I probably will always...

I get excited with a little apprehension the first time trying a new peptide, but not a new vial if I've already tried it. They typically aren't like a box of chocolates in the same kit. i'm interested to see how I react to Mots-C this coming week because of ISRs, but that's it.

That there is something totally and absolutely nefarious in the vial (new batch or same batch) to what I purchased. 😳
I stumbled upon a TG reply one day that said "there could be fentanyl in it, for all I know" and that is when the nerves appeared.
I am not normally an anxious person and I do go ahead and pin. After all, it is the price versus the risks that we are aware of.

The manufacturers don't seem to put fent in vials.

Always a good idea though for the first dose of any kit to be a baby dose.

By the way: "Naloxone will not harm someone if they are not overdosing on opioids, so it is always safer to use it if you are unsure" (Gemini).

Another precautionary device is the EpiPen.

I've heard of people having systemic allergic reactions to peptides like MOTS-C by IM (for which the EpiPen or Neffy would be good), but not of anyone having undisclosed opioid powder in a vial.

If you get the COA for your kit, while not perfect, you have a reasonable idea of what to expect. Also having a vendor that has a large following and protects their reputation is also a bonus. Those three things usually help me calm any apprehension for the first pin.

Yes! I hadn't thought of using one if I had an allergic reaction to a pin (the use of Fentanyl was only an example of something nefarious). I am allergic to bees so always have one on hand.
Thank you for that. Nerves went down a huge notch!
🙂

I'm always worried that the Chinese companies will contaminate my fentanyl with peptides.

I do have a couple of habits:
--When it's a new substance I've never used before, I send my work-wife the COA and where I got it, text when I do it, and then text thirty minutes later. Mostly cause if it murders me, she can pick up my cats before they get too hungry.
--When it's a new vial, I make sure I'm wearing shoes, my phone is charged and nearby, and I have my purse and both the ducks and the cats have been fed and have fresh water.

Neither of these are a big, dramatic set of things I do, because I don't actually believe anything is going to happen. But it gives me some wishing-well calm to know that if something DID, I did SOMETHING.

Truth! We work with a friends non-profit training and giving out free Naloxone. There are many places where you can get it free! We always have it on hand (mostly kept in our cars), but do keep a few boxes in the house just for situations like this. It could be something as simple as I picked up some trash in front of our house that happened to have fentanyl on it, or it could be a very bad batch of tirz. My anxiety keeps me safe (most of the time)

That's all solid, but just let the cats eat you. Circle of life and all.

My feeling re: narcs in vials:

They will not put narcs in vials because narcs are worth sooooo much more than peps. Plus, the second one of these fuckers kill someone with this, bye-bye gray like FOREVER and all the money they're making with it. Seriously, I whole-heartedly believe that they take every reasonable precaution to not hurt us, because it's bad for business.

The only thing I get worried about is that I f'd something up. So I plug my deets into a dosage calculator EVERY time and I always like, triple-check that the vial I am drawing from is the one I think it is. I've seen too many 'whoopsie' horror stories.

I don't inject anything that hasn't been tested at least a time or two over, so I don't worry about the very small (imo) risk that my batch vial could be "the one" with the razor blade in it.

I'm 100% on board with that logic.

This is the reassuring answer I was looking for!
Thank you for putting it in to perspective
🙂

I don’t get nervous about pinning.... I’m only scared of overfilling and accidentally turning my ‘normal dose’ into a ‘see you on Mars’ dose.

I don’t doubt it’ll probably have some effect, but it’ll also be mitigated by being subcutaneous and not IV right?

(I apologize if I assume wrong. I’m not a connoisseur of the illicit)

I like this. I haven’t put a lot of thought to what it looks like yet, but I’m adding this to my pinning routine plan

I do that before most of the things I do that could conceivably end in a very sudden 911 call. I live alone and I like to keep to myself a lot, and I'm scared by the idea of being in the ER for ten hours, hearing that they're going to admit me overnight, and having to worry about having to call someone to bring me my purse, shoes, and charger and also check on the cats food and water and also go swap out water for all the ducks on a day when that wasn't planned, or just lay there with my phone dying, no shoes, and not sure in my heart that the animals are fine overnight.
