Anyone gone above 15mg on tirzepatide?
I'm currently on 15mg and thinking about going up, or maybe even adding some cagrilintide to aid with appetite suppresion

I have seen people post about current trials and quite a few members have stated they are upwards of 25-30mg
I personally have been on 15mg for quite a while but am not going up as I am at goal.

here is more info on current trials:

The standard FDA-approved maintenance doses for tirzepatide (Mounjaro and Zepbound) cap at 15 mg weekly. Clinical trials directly investigating the 25 mg dose as a higher-tier option (alongside a 20 mg dose) are actively ongoing to evaluate its efficacy and safety for slower responders. [1, 2, 3]

Key Details on the 25 mg Tirzepatide Clinical Trial
  • Clinical Trial ID: NCT06037252
  • Sponsor: Eli Lilly and Company
  • Target Audience: Adults living with both obesity and Type 2 diabetes.
  • Study Goal: The trial is designed specifically to test the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of investigational, higher doses (20 mg and 25 mg). It aims to determine if escalating to these levels provides enhanced glycemic control and accelerated weight loss for patients who see limited results from the 15 mg maximum. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Yes, I saw a case like that in a report from the Calgary emergency department.

A few days ago, U.S. health authorities reported 18,000 cases of overdose, many of which involved people who injected multiple doses or even the entire contents of the pen.

If Tirz doesn't work at 15 mg, try Reta, and if that still doesn't work, it means you're among the 10-20% of people who have receptor mutations.

I have taken 20 and 22 mg felt no different to 15mg but a few weeks ago took 30mg by mistake and felt dreadful for 2 days. All times didn’t lose anymore weight than usual

Yes, I've done 20/19.5mg tirz. for over a month. Up from 15mg.
I don't know what you're trying to achieve, but it's nauseating to eat virtually anything. I got used to it. I wouldn't recommend it. The peptide is for obese people to tolerate a caloric deficit. Read the indications. It slows gastric emptying. A glp and g1p agonist. People think it's like speed. The more, the better. No. These are for assisting a caloric deficit program. The closer one gets to goal, the trickier the game gets. Of 16 months 9-10 months were essentially too easy. Many are finding this. Sorry for the ramble

Yes 10 months to easy and now its suddenly tougher and not working like it did.

I have done 10 mg every 5 days for a few months without problems. Best appetite suppression is when I added a bit of Sema a few days after the Tirz. Also Cagri works for that too. I have been on all 3 at times chasing appetite suppression. They all got me to goal. Good luck.

Didn’t lose more weight than usual, or you were stalled and didn’t lose more weight?

I realize both could be true, but “more weight than usual” implies you were losing weight anyways.

I have no problem with the idea of going past 15 if I need to, thankfully not there yet. Anyone know an ETA on when these studies might be released?
