Trying to find a legit lab that’s cheaper than Jano. Between his fee and shipping it’s over $400. Any other options?

Peptide Tests is the new kid on the block. They are able to perform much fewer tests on a much smaller group of compounds than Janoshik does. With that said, I've never heard anything negative about Peptide Tests even though I frequently see their results.
 
Vanguard is $50 cheaper but their results have come into question lately

I used Peptide Test for this same reason. My peps were going into longterm storage and I wanted to make sure they tested ok. I will test again when I am ready to start using them to confirm that the degradation was minimal.

I recall a thread a while back where someone was discussing the possibility of having peptides tested at state higher education institutions.

Anyone here work with their local university for their testing needs? I am not sure how much it will cost but they appear to have a very reasonable hourly rate and from what I understand pharmaceuticals like acetaminophen and ibuprofen take about 15 minutes to analyze. If I can make it work it seems like it would be a very good option based on price and proximity.

Depends if the test is just for your own safety purposes or potentially dispute product quality to a vendor.

Most vendors go by Jano only for any complaints. As panda said, finding a local uni or similar is probably going to be a lot cheaper. Most testing companies charge in the same range as far as I know

I didn’t have a great experience with them. When I posted about it everyone bashed me. Now we’re to avoid them 🙄

When you used Peptide Test, did you put two separate test requests in the same parcel? I have a T10 and a T30 I want to test and I get that I’ll have to pay twice and get two separate order numbers but I’m cheap and only want to pay for shipping once

Why would manufacturers want to make exclusivity deals with Peptide Testing, which is a small place and doesn't seem to have sufficient sway with the marketplace to justify making such deals? The claim sounds far-fetched to me.

He bought out the supply of one specific size of one brand of filter. It was a bit of a cutthroat move but it's not like there aren't other filters available.

It was proven. I can't post a link due to peppys annoying rules, but the thread isn't hard to find, I think it got the most replies since they changed platforms.
 
The filter thing just seems like more of the already excessive peptide drama happening right now. They are $4 and mostly unnecessary for crying out loud.

Yeah it's absolutely true, I just don't find it that egregious. People buying them in small quantities can buy them from him at reasonable price ($0.20 more than you could get them before in bulk) and people wanting to buy bulk can buy from one of the other filter manufacturers.

It was a sleazy used car salesman move. Furthermore, it's a major conflict of interest that undermines credibility in his filtering studies.

And there are ALOT of shady people trying to turn a profit in this space. I don't think it's fair to write off concerns about that stuff as unnecessary drama. If we as a community are permissive of this type of behavior, we are only going to see more if it. And next time it likely won't be for a couple bucks.

Communities like this are at their best when we function as a check on those trying to take advantage of us for profit.

I think its because there were next to no buyers for 4mm filters until someone made videos recommending them. But its just a guess I made up.

Also the filters are labeled not for "Not for medical use" So I'm not even sure why we're using them anyway. Who's to say you're not adding something from the filter into your peps. I haven't seen any testing showing the filters don't have any residual nasties or microplastics you don't wanna inject either.
 
I’m a little confused about the relationship between Peptide Test and TrustPointe.

But I did notice yesterday that TruePointe’s results don’t have a date anywhere on the results.

TrustPointe is the name of the lab that does all the testing. They only accept samples from business accounts.

Peptide Test is a separate entity that manages all consumer test requests for TrustPointe as well as community advertising and outreach.

I'm not that familiar with the tp results as they aren't that common. But they are super responsive if you wanted to send them an email.
 
Looks like Jano managed to kick out his competition, Sabrina from the lab testing market.

I don't know if it was justified or not, but having less competition definitely hurts the consumers in the long run.

Framing it as "jano kicked her out" I hope is a joke. Because it's not in any way accurate.

Jano publicly called her out and shamed her for the Reta/Tirz test, resulting in large community backlash which in short order caused her to dip out?

Eliminated the competition in just a few comments. Very nicely done.

Jano came and answered a question that everyone had and said anyone who doesn't know that doesn't know what their talking about. It was a very shameful moment for Sabrina but Jano didn't cause it. And then she got defensive about it and retreated. I supported Sabrina but this entire outcome is of her own making.

This is a very dramatic take. He was asked his peer review opinion and he gave it. I didn't sense any emotion behind his interpretation or any shaming to her on his end.

Its common in any scientific/engineering/tech field etc etc to peer review. Anybody conducting an additional peer review analysis isn't calling anybody out. They're sharing their expert opinion.

Based on this comment, it would seem you disagree with what I said.

After everything that happened, you still think Sabrina is an expert? That says a lot.

She’s not. She initially wanted to have a dude at a lab where she works do some testing on the side as a sort of fun experiment that would benefit the community. Great! But then that quickly turned into her posting price lists from “her lab” (yes, she represented it was her lab) for tests she was running, and offering to do the analysis herself for a discount. She was charging people for testing and getting it all wrong. She actually had the temerity to question why Jano was the gold standard in peptide testing, as if she — the new gal on the block without an established reputation — was on par with Jano. Get real.

Jano was able to use the very same raw data she used to easily disprove her analysis and findings. He did so pretty matter-of-factly. She doubled down. Then claimed it wasn’t her lab, that she was relying on other people who were running the tests. When asked by long-standing and respected members of the community for more information to support how/why she got her results so very and obviously wrong, she claimed they were being “intrusive” and picked up her toys and left all the TGs and Discords were she would be asked questions.

God forbid people who are paying her and relying on her test results in making decisions about whether to inject foreign substances into their body ask her questions! The nerve of those people! 🙄

This all to say, this is not how an actual expert develops expertise nor how they conduct themselves when asked questions about their analysis.

If it makes me “nasty” to state the obvious, I’ll gladly wear the title. She’s no expert.
