Ayooooo let's discuss maintenance or "life after weightloss"

Some do.

But for example Ive lost over 100 pounds. Currently off glp1s for a medical.procedure, and want to eat EVERYTHING. It just depends on your willpower and how strong you are. If you can eat the right foods and right amounts without glp1s then god bless ya.

Its just that many people here on this site have..... difficult relationships with food and food choices and need the crutch. Me included. I am definitely not making good choices right now and eating things I haven't in nearly a year.
Scaring me a bit.. I have a procedure on June 24th and am going to pin my last Tirz shot tomorrow and then after the surgery.... Oh Boy... Should I be scared of the Food Noise?? 😅😅

I'm at my goal weight and don't really know what to do now. This last week I didn't take my shot just to kind of see what happened and I was ravenous so that's for sure not the answer. I'm thinking I'll just be a lifer, I'm hoping I can maybe go down in dose a bit or maybe switch to tirz, but really I like the reta so may as well stick with it. I've been obese for many years, I'm not gonna just magically maintain on my own now. Maybe in a few years my set weight brain problem will be better and I can go off? idk. time will tell I guess.

I’ve been at goal for a year, holding at 8mg Tirz/week, split dose.

Occasionally, I need a little help to curb the cravings and I take legit smidge of .13mg Sema.

Other weeks, I want to be able to indulge, and I lower to 2.5-3mg Tirz on my dose.

It would not be wise to get off the weight loss drug even after you have achieved your goal weight because these weight loss drugs like reta are good for longevity and biohacking purposes. Sure, they suppress appetite, but they also improve your insulin sensitivity and you burn more calories at rest and you have an overall better metabolic health. So even after the goal weight has been achieved, a nice low maintenance dose can go a long way so that also you don't rebound back and that hopefully good eating habits have formed during that weight loss period that even on a maintenance, there isn't going to be any problems with food and nutrition. There are more benefits to staying on than getting off. Also your mind is more free from thiinking about food.
