Can I use Bacteriostatic Saline if I can’t find the Bacteriostatic Water? Or will that mess up the formula for tirzepatide? Thanks

I seem to remember someone posting that she uses BAC saline water. I doubt salt would harm tirzepatide; otherwise it would be destroyed when it enters the human body. I have never tried BAC saline water myself. I only tried three BAC waters:

1. Pfizer/Hospira BAC water. Works great.
2. Peptide Group Buys BAC water. Works great.
3. Some cheap reconstitution solution I purchased off of Amazon. I don't really remember what happened other than after I looked at the reconstituted vial, I refused to inject myself with it and threw away that vial.

Welcome. Bac saline is fine. The Eli Lilly Tirz vials/pens they ship use Saline Bac water. I use Hospira Saline Bac water with my Tirz and other peptides. It is cheaper, is isotonic, and is compatible with many/most peptides.
Awesome!! Thanks
I can get the saline easily, the water is more difficult.

I’m used to keeping my BAC in the fridge with reconstituted peps in my Case but left it out when I was organizing my lyophilized peptides stay the freezer so i recon my Tirz straight out of the freezer cold so its always been cold bac water on cold pep and cold shot then back to the fridge, i wonder if I ruined water or if I needed to cool it down in an ice bath before I reconstituted or what so I started researching and got mixed suggestions … What do my fellow researchers do with BAC water before reconstitution??? I know the peptide goes in the refrigerator after reconstitution but what about before recon …example take tirz out of freezer let it hit room temp and water should be room temp or refrigerated… 🤔 SHIT have i compromised my Tirz reconstituting cold on cold ??? and as far as the shot its cold to ???

Don’t sweat it. It doesn’t have to be cold on cold. The cold is just to reduce bacterial growth in the vial. The bac water should stay sterile for 28 days minimum after initial puncture assuming you use aseptic technique. For my job I reconstitute a lot of stuff, you are good- no worries

If you go up to the search button, then type the word "bac" and click "search titles only" you will get tons of information on bac water. Really spend time researching your questions so that you can make an informed choice.

Some people do reconstitute with saline, many don't. I don't. Lily may use saline, but their vials and pens are for one use only, are manufactured in sterile environments, and the pens are hermetically sealed. They are intended for one use only. Unless you are reconstituting one vial at a time, I recommend not using saline. However, why take my word for it, when you can research it for yourself and make your own educated and informed decision?
