I have always suffered from low blood pressure. Could retatrutide lower it further?

Sodium and hydration can help increase plasma volume.

Standing up slower can reduce head rushes. 😂

What is your baseline and what is it now?

When you say low blood pressure, what do you mean? Do you get dizzy or have fading vision after standing up ( postural hypotension ) or some other problem?

Have you lost a lot of weight? Or is the problem just from starting reta? Are you on other medication that can lower blood pressure? Are you drinking less fluids after starting reta?, this is very common.

Do you have a blood pressure measuring machine?, if not get one they are cheap. Measure blood pressure sitting and standing a few times and write the numbers down.

I would suggest get a medical opinion and get bloods checked first before trying anything. Having multiple blood pressure readings from home will make that a lot quicker and simpler.

I cannot say anything about what to do about it without knowing exactly what the problem is, and would prefer to see basic blood electrolytes before suggesting something as simple as salt tablets even.

I used to always be 110 70, now 87 65, I noticed that getting up quickly is not the best

That bp is pretty low for someone with obesity. How much do you weigh?

The bp is lowish and you have symptomatic postural hypotension. Did not get answers to all my questions so still have no idea why. Also age? heart problems?

Reta as a drug lowers blood pressure, and especially massive weight loss lowers it a lot more. At least 50% of people get this after large weight losses from bariatric surgery, so no reason it won't be common after reta weight loss.

I started getting greyed out vision on standing nearly 4 years ago and still have it , but did lose 80 kilos, if it is due to massive weight loss it may be long term.

Still advise a doctors opinion and advice. There are things that can help including blood pressure increasing medication if it is required, but usually a cardiologist would prescribe. It does not sound severe enough to need this. I am not going to suggest try salt tablets unless you have your electrolyte levels checked first. If you are drinking less on reta, drink more fluids. Compression stockings can help.

The biggest issue by far is fainting and then getting hurt when you hit the ground, usually you get some warning with dizzyness or vision changes, so be careful if this is happening and try to get your head down , I find just bending over a bit works for me. If you stay upright and blood pressure gets low enough to your brain, there is a reflex - vasovagal syncope, where your body drops blood pressure right down, causing you to faint and fall over as a way of restoring brain blood flow.

I'm not obese. I needed to lose almost 20kg and had a problem with binge eating, and the reta helped a lot. I'm almost there, but if it continues like this, I think it's time to stop and see if it improves. Could Cagri or eloralintide change the situation?
