Blood test

I am having blood work done at my physical next month. Is there anything specific I need to ask for or will a comprehensive panel suffice? My current stack is reta, nad+, and cjc/ipa. I just finished a glow cycle and will be adding ss31 and motsc.

What are you wanting and what are you doing? "Comprehensive panel" isn't very descriptive.

Doing CJC/IPA (or GH/GH secretagogues) you'll want to get IGF-1 level/score.


As a baseline, ~anytime I get bloodwork I get CBC, CMP, Lipid Panel with ApoB, and Insulin plus whatever I'm actually testing for. Those 4 cost only cost $34.40, so they're worth running any time I go to the lab, although if I went multiple times in the same month I'd likely only run them once.

Beyond that I get specific into whatever it is I'm curious about, updating (like periodic TRT lab work), or longer scope baseline updates.

You'll need to articulate to the doctor reasons that he can medically justify testing whatever, assuming you're wanting insurance to cover it.

I skip the doctor and pay for my own testing. I don't know that I'm going to go for my annual, but if I do, I don't know that I'm going to have them run any advanced labs (not articulate things to have them look for additional labs).

That's why I asked what you're wanting and doing in and from life. 🤣 Based on CJC/IPA, I know you want to check IFG. My IGF baseline is a 1.4, so I don' plan on getting much from Tessa/Ipa, but I'll still give it a whirl. From that I also know to track my IGF so I don't send it problematically high.

If you're losing weight, how much and aggressively could be a thing.

Being on TRT, I have labs associated with that when the dose changes and periodically based on the Rx requirements (plus my curiosity).

I ran a wide baseline of 40 tests/panels a couple months ago to look for any problematic areas that will need closer monitoring.


If you have a honest relationship with the doctor, you could describe all you're doing and ask for their recommendations on lab work, that in general you want to get as comprehensive as practical to the limits of however you define that (self pay, insurance pay only, a combination, etc).

For the basics, like Lipids, Liver, Kidneys, etc., you should be able to Google things that would justify it. And since you are on some kind of weight loss drug, Pancreas should be easy too. They don't need to know it is reta.

Yeah I have my regular doctor, then test separately and have a doctor to discuss that blood work for a second opinion on anything. My regular doctor is kind of a dick about some things, but the other doctor, can have very open conversations.

Depends a bit on where you are and costs as well as age and any other health issues. The list at the top was extremely comprehensive and would be expensive.
Basic tests would be FBE, U&E, LFT, hs-crp, lipids, TFT, iron studies , b12, folate, hormones as you say perimenopausal, IGF-1 as you are on drugs that affect it, Blood sugar and hb1ac also as routine plus you are on drugs that could alter it. If you have high blood pressure or severe obesity urine protein as well.
You may or may not need to explain why you want tests like IGF-1.(cjc/ipa)
