I've been wanting to start tirz for a while but i had some concerns abt storage

ik that you are supposed to store the powdered peptides in the freezer, and once you reconstitute a vial, in the fridge but rn im living with multiple people who ill just say are kinda judgemental at best

I was looking on amazon for a good budget fridge/freezer combo and I found this and this but i wanted to know if something like these would be suitable for storage or not. is there a specific freezer temperature requirement? because I have seen reviews apparently stating that these arent even suitable for ice cream. I would assume the fridge part would be fine though

I have a similar situation and had to find something as small as possible. I bought a Whynter CUF-110B 1.1cf freezer on Amazon for $120. I bought some old school dial thermometers and it maintains -11f well. I don’t intend to have more than 1-2 years of peptides at any time so it’s fine for my needs. I just keep track of when I purchase what so I use the older kits first. It barely uses any electricity and it fits on top of a dresser. It also has a locking mechanism. It’s only an Allen key, but locks only keep honest people out of things anyway.

thanks for the info on the specific/temperatures lengths, ill look into the one you mentioned. I honestly dont even plan on being on tirz for more than 2 years anyway (will probably hop off when done losing weight) I do have a minifridge rn that i use for drinks so i might just see what temperature that one stays at and buy only a freezer

I have this one, it stays around -22C (+/-1 degree) and has a lock.

I keep it in my garage but I bought it in Oct-24 so I'm not sure how it will hold up to the TX summer where my garage can reach >90 degrees. I have a temp sensor in it that provides phone notifications if the temp falls outside of the range I set.

Thanks for this! Is it okay to put lyophilized peptides in a hydroflask with dissent packs and then in the freezer, or will the hydroflask need to have an ice pack inside?

I believe the theory is that putting them in a hydroflask is a mitigation against fluctuating temperatures. I don’t do it, but it seems like a logical thing to protect your investment. I don’t believe you would need to place an ice pack inside of it. There are people on Etsy selling vial holding inserts for the flasks.

my issue with the flask was it required some defrost to open, what I have read is to minimize repeat freeze thaw. I suppose the hard to open top made it seem counterproductive as it had to thaw a bit.

I think if you know you wont open for a long time that is fine, but I prefer a more readily available solution for the ones I will need access to. Just my experience.
