After saying no multiple times, I finally relented and agreed to guide a fellow RS who is just beginning his weight loss journey. I recruited a friend to assist him as he has memory loss. I gave him an Amazon shopping list for supplies and ordered 10 mg Sema from a domestic provider for $70 including shipping. On the chosen day, we had a meeting on Messenger to walk through the process. I dutifully ran the calculations at Particle Peptides numerous times. Somehow along the way, I confused 5 and 50 and without being there in person, I didn’t catch the mistake until after I found out the pre divided doses only filled 4 syringes. Fortunately, we decided to start at 25 mcg, which was actually 2.5 mg. That’s a full Wegovy dose. He ended up getting quite nauseous and had a rough 24 hours. What a horrible introduction to GLP1 meds. He got some anti nausea medicine which helped. It’s been years since I’ve been on an Ozempic pen. The actual starting dose is a super small amount. Lesson learned. Be super cautious helping someone else if you’re only exposure is one RS.

No RS usage needed here.

Always triple sanity check dosage when it's for someone else. Know how to do a dose division calc. What I mean is that, with a 10mg vial, and .25mg dose, that means you should be able to get 40 doses. If you're pulling 25 units of liquid, can that vial even HOLD 39 more of those? 25 times 40 is 1000. That's 10ml, your vial can't hold 10ml so you know you screwed up.

For the couple of RS I've started on Retatrutide I've made sure to reconstitute the vials myself and double/triple check they they understand the correct dosage.

I got my sister and BIL started on Tirz. I reconstituted the vial and added the number of units to the label of the vial for both 2.5mg and 5mg doses. The next vial I will ask her to do the reconstitution and watch her do it. This way for the next round maybe she can handle it herself and eventually not have to make the 2 hour round-trip drive to my house every 4-6 weeks. She's an ER nurse so I am thinking she should be able to handle it.

How are you feeling after this? hows the relationship between you and the other person now?

I've guided one person onto sema.

Along the way, I'm CONSTANTLY deferring to him--asking specific, pointed questions in lieu of instructions...allowing him to figure things out for himself with a few nudges.

It seemed to work, he got on the sauce and now he's his own expert, at least on the entry level steps (calculations, pinning, dosage calendar).
