Hi all. I've heard both that positive charged filters can remove endotoxins from peptides and heard this from a pharmacist, but other research shows it will as bind peptide molecules and make then end product worthless. What are your views/experiences regarding positively charged filters? Can anyone point me to some research on the matter? Sorry if this has been asked before!

Sure if you can afford them

I read about it a few times, but I have serios doubts that it can ruin the molecule chains

Yeah, I did some extensive research about this because lately, foreign wholesalers products came back as failed regarding sterility and endos.

Sterility, we can use the filters to help mitigate.

As for endos, there are indeed filters that can completely take out (or at the very least, take most of it out), BUT they will also take out the compound/peptide. How much of it will be taken out? At least half of it and up to 90% of it.

I do not recommend buying those filters for the endos. Most endo failed tests aren't enough to have adverse effects on your body due to the variability of how much the dose, the timing of dose, which peptide it is, and the process of reconstituting the product --- these can all effect the adversity of reaction.

Thanks so much! My further research plus this comment leads me away from going the charged filter route-I’m just going to spring for endotoxin testing. And now I have to learn more about endo testing and everything you mentioned! Always so much to learn…luckily I really enjoy my new obsession 😊

If you get into good GB, they do all testing now, including Endo.

Thanks…that’s my end goal but I’m so new. I need some time to building my reputation and getting to know people 😊
