I'm trying to drop a little weight, my sw is 194 & my gw is 180. I exercise regularly & have a relatively healthy diet, but my relationship with food is a love hate relationship & I do sometimes over indulge or eat little to nothing, but my food groups & calorie counts are usually on point, i do have digestive & intestinal issues as well.
I decided to give reta 2mg a shot to help get me past this plateau i'm stuck at, I looked over a variety of threads from these forums & seen different information about dosing & Reactions & i'm still questioning whether something else might work better like Sema or Tirz, but it seems, like most things, a process of trial & error.

How long have you been taking this dose? And how often do you inject?

If you've only taken one dose, that's not enough.

Go to pep-pedia; you'll find information on dosages and some guidelines, as well as references to clinical trials.

Depends on your particular need. It sounds like you may be similar to me, in that I don't necessarily think about eating all the time or eat constantly, but when I do eat I often eat A LOT. I went with reta (currently taking 1.5mg/3 days). It has help me eat "normal" portions.

My wife started on tirz, but she said she didn't even think about food while on it, which my be counter to your comment "I do sometimes over indulge or eat little to nothing". My daughter tried sema (she was under 18 and it was the only thing available to her at the time) and it "worked" but made her really sick. We ended up stopping it after a few weeks at 1mg because she couldn't eat and would be physically ill for days after her shot. She's currently taking 4mg tirz (2mg T/F) and has been doing well on that.

I'd give the reta some time to do its thing (at least a few months) and decide from there.

It was my first dose, I figured that I would likely have use more routinely before I see results, but so far I'm glad I haven't had the diarrhea or nausea i've see talked about here😅, but thank for the head's up on pep-pedia, it's been very helpful already👍😊

I appreciate the recommendation, I figure that makes the most sense since I just started it, it was more of a second guess as I keep reading through the threads & see different reactions, sry your daughter went through that with sema, that sounds like it was pretty awful, but glad that worked out. That brings me back to the statement I made about trial & error, as i friend of mine took the same dose as as your daughter did with tirz & had a similar reaction that she did to sema, we're all different i suppose, but you hit the nail on the head about the similar eating habits & sticking with reta for a few months to feel it out seems like a reasonable choice

I usually give things a vial or two depending on the daily dosages to make heads or tails if its useful. Like i did a whole ss31 schedule and it didnt wow me.
As for reta. 2 hit me like a truck and as times gone on the way it hits me is different.. Specially working out as hard as i am. I see alot less appetite supression but still the almost no hunger or noise. And i get full faster. But if i shoot monday and do it weekly. Saturday i already feel its affects really wane. When i titrated up to 4 i had serious constipation that was a whole shit show with no hyperbole. Ive lost 43 and stalled out recently.

Wheras a family member can barely eat and has zero noticiable side effects. But more dose isnt adding more side effects either. They just have steady weightloss and no constipation.

Tldr id give it a fair shake before dropping it entirely

That's one of the things I've been wondering about, the literal shit show, is the constipation a regular issue, like a weekly issue or more, or just when you titrated up & ty for the recommendation, advice i'm going to take👍😊

Nah happened one time like 5 outta ten on the schitcher scale. Started a digestive enzyme which helps from costco. White bottle red highlights. Any time i feel im slowing down or feel a little sluggish. ill run a few nights of miralax. First days to get it moving. Seconds after the first movement. Seconds to keep it moving. Thirds to make sure its not gonna play with me and lock up the brakes on a empty highway like some snowy north tourist. Bonus 4th if you still have something left in the clip .
Oh and chew your food and actually get your fluids in. I did the calc and it says i should be drinking MORE than a gallon a day. Any time i slow down drinking fluids i can tell physically.
