Hello all!

I am happy I found this group! Married mom w/3 kiddos, in Texas. I decided after my youngest turned 1 (2022) that I wanted (& needed) to start putting effort & priority into taking care of myself.
I started with low carb dieting with a calorie deficit doing weight watchers (Blue plan). In the summer of 2023, I was down 20 lbs. I decided I needed more & started Mounjaro. One year later (Fall 2024), I was down 70lbs. I was spending half my mortgage just for the medication. I tried to stretch out my doses to last 10-14 days instead of the 7 days, but the food noise was loud. I went 2 months without a shot & gained 7 lbs. I pushed through, trying to afford my medicine every month. A few months ago, I hit 80lbs gone, but I am now to a point I need a more cost effective option to see this self care journey through to my goal weight. My husband is much more physically active than me, and I’d love to join him in his outdoor adventures with our kids. I’m excited to research & hopeful I can find an affordable pathway to get these last 40 lbs off.

I am appreciative for this forum, and look forward to learning from you all!

BCBS sucks, went from $60 copay covered by manufacturer assistance card to $726 per month copay! F*** - BCBS. Brello Health 399 for Semaglutide for 3 months supply, 499 for Tirzepatide for 3 months supply, any dose was a great option. Now gray is way, way less with little work. Sema and Tirz is a great value in gray! $20- 30 a month is possible.
