Have been on a variety of protocols for 7 months with a few 2 week breaks. I have been pinning individual Peps and no mixes. RT, MOts, BPC, then RT Tesa BPC SLU, I am now finding that pinning MOTS gives me a terrible reaction, welts. Changed vials, still happening. Gradually my stomach, Thighs and glutes have become hypersensitive and pinning seems very prickly and uncomfortable. Can muscle through it, but was wondering if this is an overloaded histamine receptor problem? Any one else experience this? I have had it over three weeks now but sensitivity is not decreasing. I was thinking of taking a benadryl to see if that helps. By the way, down 40 lbs.

Be careful man, there are more than a few anecdotal references of people who started out with ISRs, then more systemic reactions, eventually progressing to full anaphylaxis with MOTS-c. If you're going to continue researching, have something stronger than Benadryl on hand as a precaution (like an epi-pen).

I have known a few people who do find that the localized mast cell reaction was diminished significantly by ingesting antihistamines 30-45mins to pinning, but the sudden anaphylaxis is something to be aware of.

You could maybe look at adding in Thymosin Alpha 1, to help regulate your immune system. I've been doing 1mg a day for 10 weeks, I only have a shellfish allergy. I've only ever had 3 Histamine reactions to pins after a couple years into peptides. I do feel the TA1, helps balance my immune system and haven't had any reactions whilst taking the TA1.

AI slop:
How TA1 Impacts Histamine
  • Long-Term Immune Balancing: Allergies and histamine sensitivities often stem from an imbalanced immune system (specifically a Th2 dominance that triggers IgE and histamine release). TA1 helps recalibrate immune function, which can improve your overall tolerance over time. [1]
  • Not an Antihistamine: Because TA1 works to balance immune signaling rather than block histamine receptors, it will not provide immediate relief from symptoms like hives, itching, or nasal congestion during an active flare-up. [1, 2]

good post @unclebuff702 , I'd like to add a couple things,
firstly, not all peptides are just peptides, some are contaminated with endotoxins, lipopolysaccharides, that will elicit an immune reactions (and inflammation and even CV events sometimes). It won't matter if you change vials, as the lot will be contaminated, there's nothing you can do.
second, have you considered thymosin alpha fragment? This may help your condition.
looks like @RubbaDubba1 beat me to it 😉

If something gave me hives, I would discontinue. Anyhow, MOTS-C didn't do much for me.

Have you tried diluting it more, making the solution isotonic, testing pH, using different needles, or multi-pining?
