Lurking here for a few weeks now. 32 years old, managing Type 2 diabetes for about 3 years. I've been on Ozempic for a couple months and lost 45 lbs with minimal side effects, its mostly just mild constipation and headaches. My insurance is switching to Wegovy coverage in January and I'm honestly nervous about the transition after reading about people experiencing nausea, diarrhea, and fatigue when making this change.

I'm hoping to connect with others who've made this medication switch and learn from your experiences. I'm also passionate about online security and protecting our community from health-related scams as more of our medical information goes digital. Looking forward to learning from everyone and hopefully contributing some insights of my own.

Ozempic is the same drug as Wegovy = semaglutide. Exactly 100% same drug, same manufacturer, minor differences in dosing. They simply did the two names for marketing purposes.

Yup, same exact drug. Wegovy (currently) has a slightly higher maximum dosage of 2.4mg/wk than Ozempic's 2mg/wk.

If you were mistaken and your insurance is changing to a Tirzepatide product (Mounjaro, Zepbound) I think you'll find the general consensus is side effects go down from Semaglutide products.
