Love to get some recommendations! I’m in my 50s. I started Tirz on 4/22 and have lost 20lb in 2 months. Tirz has definitely exceeded my expectations! Still about 15 lb from my goal weight.

However- I think my face has aged 20years! I did have a few lines forming before weight loss. But, OMG! I’m getting such crepey skin on my face. When I smile, I look 20 years older with the lines on the sides of my face.
I did some research and started KLOW a couple weeks ago. I also did an Amazon tele visit yesterday & should have Retin-A arriving today.

Any other recommendations? Any skin care routines, lotions, etc. that have helped others with this issue? I prefer recs such as home skin care routines, peps, etc. Not interested in surgery, laser, derm clinic procedures, etc. (Can’t really afford cosmetic procedures).

Love to hear what has worked for others! Thanks!

Retinol, lactic acid, topical Ghk-Cu and microneedling have research to back that they can thicken the skin. Facial estriol creams can make a difference for post-menopausal women.

I've seen some crazy good results from lactic acid (or Amlactin) use on Reddit [Link 1, Link 2, Link 3], but it's hard to tell which posts are real reviews and which posts are product promotions. FWIW I've been using The Ordinary Lactic Acid serum on my dark circles and I definitely see a difference in skin thickness.

Also I've been hopping on and off Reta and tbh a lot of the "aging effects" I see in my face is just caused by water loss on GLPs and my face goes back to normal when I stop the meds. Not sure what the solution to that is. HA acid should plump the skin up slightly but I haven't tried.

Thanks for your response! 🙂

I didn’t even mention my dark spots since they were already there prior to the weight loss.
I may look into The Ordinary Lactic Acid serum for my dark spots. I checked to see if it’s okay with Tretinoin. Looks like it is as long as not used at the same time.
I also just bought some Cereva moisturizer to start layer with the tretinoi. It has Hyaluronic Acid& ceramides (but if anyone has suggestions for better moisturizers, I’m all ears)!

I’ve seen references to the microneedling on Reddit & FB (lots of pop-up ads) . I think I may have to jump down that rabbit hole & do some research.

I had that “ozempic face” thing going (baggy skin on neck) from losing 50lbs on Tirz. I started GHK-Cu daily injections, and micro needling with GHK-Cu cream 3x/wk.

Not a lot of effect on my neck, but a noticeable improvement on my skin (texture, resiliency, fewer wrinkles).

I added collagen in my morning coffee, as well as some facial stretching exercises for loose skin/double chin, and while it’s only been a week, I do believe I am seeing a slight improvement in the neck area now as well.

I’m definitely looking into the microneedling. I see ads pop up all the time for this.

I’m also interested in the collagen. Does brand matter? Or can I pick up any collagen powder?

Prescription tretinoin (Retin-A), twice a week for a few weeks then build up to 3 times a week. SPF is a non negotiable.. every day even if you feel you don't need it slap it on before going out. Stay hydrated, make sure you hitting your water goals, 2 - 3 litres a day minimum. Dehydrated skin looks dull, crepey and wrinkly. GHK, you mentioned KLOW. I prefer GHK as a stand alone, I mix a little into a good night cream to use a few nights a week as well as pinning. Matryxl 3000 is also excellent as well as Vit C, I use Medik8 C-Tetra Luxe, it's a bit pricey but it did wonders for brightening my skin. But all of it is pointless if you don't hydrate and use SPF 🙂

Lots of great info.
I wasn’t a water drinker before Tirzepatide. I admit that’s been a challenge for me. But I am drinking at least 2 liters/day now.
And I was never a big sun screen user (GenX generation… grew up wanted that suntan, LOL). BUT… that’s definitely caught up with me. And is a big reason for a lot of my skin spots, wrinkles now. Weight loss just exacerbated the issue.

I have read repeatedly that spf is essential with tretinoin. My tretinoin arrives today. I need to get that sunscreen today.

Love the idea of mixing GHK mixed with my night cream.
Thanks for all the info!
