Not even a peep about losing Global Entry, like so many (who don’t even travel internationally more than once a decade) are worried about.
That wouldn't make it into a news article. They will absolutely revoke your global entry if your name gets flagged in something like this.

And I travel internationally 4-5 times a year. Global entry is a life saver worth protecting.

It isn’t.
Tell that to the thousands of people who have gotten their GE status revoked for simply having customs seize their package and have no related trial, much less conviction, to show for it.

Just google "Global Entry Revoked Customs Seized Package," not a single one of them talk about going to court and getting convicted.

I got caught walking across the border from Mexico with what would have been legal amounts of prescription drugs had i declared them (I didn’t) over 30 years ago. I paid a fine for not declaring and walked away that day thinking it was done. 20 years later I discover I cannot get global entry because of it. I travel internationally a lot, it’s a pain in the ass.

The global entry thing is a real risk and if it is valuable to you, you ought to take it seriously. If it isn’t valuable to you then meh, keep on trucking, unless something changes nobody is going to jail for importing personal quantities of bootleg ozempic.

18 kits of t30, somebody is trying to lose some serious weight.

It could have been a manufacturer's shipment to their US address for additional distribution to end-users. I think this is the safest way to order from China, it is often a condition of their reship policy and reduces the risk to purchasers because the initial shipment often does not include your personally identifiable information.

The article says they were going to Ohio homes. Also seems like this would be a pretty tiny manufacturer warehouse shipment, but of course that's just speculation.

guessing it was some sort of small group purchase - a facebook group or some neighbors pooling together

what do they do with seized items. all of that sema going to waste is such a shame 😭

“Cincinnati Customs and Border Protection officers made 4,400 seizures in the last fiscal year. They're on pace to beat that number this year. As for the products seized, it all gets destroyed unless it's forfeiture by the FDA.”

In other news, Cincinnati CBP agents report showing lowest avg weight among all federal officers.
If these guys start showing up to work all svelt and trim in a few months we will know what happened to the contraband. 😂
