Day 3 of Selank and blown away

Did you buy the Semax already reconstituted for nasal use? Do you know what the concentration was? I mixed my own, so two sprays provides 1 mg. I take Semax IN in the mornings just before work, along with my usual cup of coffee, and I'm set for the day. I like it so much I have NA on the way.

I've read Selank is more of an anytime peptide for anxiety and used in the morning for It's cognitive benefits.
No. The vial is 10 mg, mix with 10 mo saline, the nasal should give about 0,1 per dosage, but probably not very accurate.
True about selank, but also it makes me feel less stressed during hectoc work days.

I've been reading the risk is lower than previously thought.

Breast cancer risk model provides reassuring data for those with family history of disease after short-term HRT use

Hormone replacement therapy taken at age 50 for up to 5 years only modestly increases the risk of breast cancer, even for women with a strong family history of the disease, according to a new risk model published in the British Journal of General Practice.

Yes, thank you. I know, but I don’t want to risk anything. I don’t need it right now, I’m perimenopausal, but if I get full blown menopause symptoms, I will consider.
‘Only modestly increase’ is an increase.
My best friend just went through breast cancer, for f , that was really bad ! And now she has the chronic effects from chemo.
I freaks me out

How long do you all keep the nasal spray ? It’s saline, not bac, and not in the fridge during the day ?

I have not researched this myself and I haven’t gone to locate the source document…..so take this as you will. From my notes when I started looking into Selank, there several discussions elsewhere that pointed to Russian studies. The results they showed the following:

Lyophillized powder:
Room temp: 2-4 weeks stable
Refrigerator: 2 years
Freezer: 3+ years

Reconstituted with BAK (not BAC!)
Room temp (20-25°C, dark):
  • Week 1: 85-90% potency
  • Week 2: 70-80%
  • Week 4: 50% INEFFECTIVE

Refrigerator (4°C, dark):
  • Week 1: 95-98%
  • Month 1: 90-92%
  • Month 2: 80-85% Still usable

Travel/emergency only:

Week 1: Usable (daily dosing)
Week 2: Reduce dose 25%
Week 3+: Discard
Dark bottle + no agitation essential

Then the suggestions I found to extend the life….just read not vetted not tried:
Antioxidant additive - 0.01% Ascorbic acid + BAK saline = +1 week @room temp
OR
Lower concentration - 1mg/mL vs 5mg/mL = 50% slower degradation

Personally I’m reseearch 1.2mg dose at 2 spays per nostril 3 times. A day. With a standard bottle that’s 8 days give or take. Now how does agitation affect it? Maybe worth a test to see for real as I’ve read strong arguements either way.

I've been reconstituting with BAC Saline (Hospira brand). It is slightly irritating in my nostrils, but tolerable. I also store it in the fridge.

RS is on day three of research and in our experience this is gaming changing for my subject. They didn’t know they needed it. Apparently they have been in anxiety denial their entire life. A recent major life impact sent them into a spiral and we decided to try it just to see if it would help.

Three days ago we reconstituted 10mg with 10ml sterile saline in a 10ml nasal spray bottle that disburses .1ml per spray. At lunch time RS sprayed in each nostril and within the hour saw a notable shift in mindset. Constant background concerns faded away to a feeling of control and calm. RS will be trying 4 weeks on, 2 off for several cycles.

The past 3 days suggests that if someone has the right brain chemistry, it will have an immediate impact for. After the first day, RS learned they had been conning myself about things in my life. Apparently RS was a bit of an anxiety ridden mess that lied to myself that I was just always ready for the worst case. It was viewed as a good thing rather than a key sign of high anxiety. RS is high functioning and successful so they couldn’t possibly have anxiety, right??? Clearly wrong..

We just started the Peptide journey due to weight.. RS went from GLP1 via local through support via telemedicine. As we read we ended up going grey. After looking over a list of peptides we noticed comments about Selank for anxiety. We never….never…. bought into anxiety, at least in RS’s personal case. They brushed off a lot of signs and some friends suggesting it may be an issue. As we read more about Selank we realized that the people it helped in the Russian studies exhibited very similar symptoms to RS..

The more we read the more we realized RS was an absolute stereotype for anxiety. Every symptom showed could be traced back to childhood. That childhood experience primed RS for extreme anxiety and eventually cardiac issues in midlife despite being otherwise very healthy….weight aside and GLP1 helped dramatically there.

We decided to give it a shot….well a spray as it were. Within hours we noticed a fundamental difference to how RS was reacting. This is already too long so I’ll spare the details. I can only suggest if it has no, or minimal, effect on you then perhaps you are already wired normally and Selank isn’t the path for you.

I am genuinely optimistic for the remodeling effect exhibited in studies at this point, but the peace of mind it has already delivered is unbelievable. We are now looking at the possibility of adding Semax in the future.
Sorry to hear about your childhood trauma 🙁

I just ordered selank and semax. I suffer with Anxiety and what i can only describe as ADHD type behaviours. So going to give it a go and see how i get on with it. Thanks for sharing.

Kind thoughts….the trauma part is way behind me. It was just a continuous dramatic high stress environment and I thought all families were like that. I just didn’t realize that primed the fight or flight response leading to anxiety. I am now just learning 18 years of that environment caused major changes.

The amazing part is how quckly the selank research calmed that noise. I was supposed to start seeing what the impact of semax is on top but USPS strikes again and the package sits for 5 days in a distribution center. First world problems.

I might be a dummy, but what is BAK ?
Ok, so I can up my dosage week 2 and 3, but I think I'll toss after week 3, no bac water in it and my dirty nostrils full of disgusting bacteria will contaminate.

Not a dummy. I started looking up anything I saw on a price list that I didn’t know.

Here’s a nice AI generated comparison 😉

I use a box of 3ml ampules of steriles saline to recon. That way I’m not dealing the the liquid having contamination issue or throwing away a ton of saline. Since I refrigerate it and don’t carry it this is ideal for me.

BAC/BAK add preservatives for if you need to have it on the go. BAC downside is nasal preposition. I’ve seen some others but since it isn’t high on my list I haven’t gone down those rabbit holes.

I've kept mine for coming on 30 days, refrigerated except to use it. After two weeks, I started checking for floaters or anything weird and I just haven't seen anything yet. It's still crystal clear even with saline. I need a couple more days from it. After 30 days, this coming week I'm toss any left, which isn't much, and clean it for the next time. I'm taking at least 30 days off to clear receptors. I may also add a bit of store bought nasal spray next time.

My bottles are for single use, it's plastic and non-see-through, so it's impossible to see if mucus entered the solution, lol.

I don't think so either, but it's impossible to remove germs, but I don't think they can walk into the bottle. ;-)

Exactly. After all the checking I've done, I'm not going to worry about it anymore. Next cycle will be with NA Semax and I'm looking forward to it. I did read that the effects last 8-10 hours, instead of 2-3, so I just hope it doesn't effect my sleep.
