Disgustingly concerned with US customs

So I follow a good 4 or 5 of our vendors on discord. Every one had members at a month worrying about packs. Then came announcements no orders from Chicago. And buyers with letters from customs saying their pack was confiscated. I didn't worry, I'm East coast which for the last 10 years has been extremely difficult to not get ur package.... I just read 3 different posts saying Jamaica/Queens has stepped it up too.... packs in limbo for 10 and 14 days. Nexaph is gonna have a field day till they shut them down. What about us? Thought customs was gutted like the fda? Ur supposed to let the little fish swim...

I don’t think any agencies under DHS are being gutted. They need Customs to enforce Immigration at the ports of entry, and with our packages being within the scope of their role, we will take the hit. It really sucks but I accept the trade off if it means protecting our borders. I’ve had packages from India seized recently and lost a few hundred dollars. All came through ISC Queens.

It doesn't mean "protecting our borders", though. What does that even mean? It's a farce. We will suffer pointlessly because of it.
