Hello all!

New to the forum — my wife and I are about a month into our GLP-1 journey. We're based in Minnesota, have two young boys, and both work in tech. Like many, we looked into treatment through doctors but found the cost overwhelming with no insurance coverage, so we started exploring alternatives.

We’ve been using what we hope is retatrutide (reta), after plenty of research and second-guessing ourselves along the way. I'm down about 18 lbs and just dipped under a BMI of 40. I’ve also learned not to ask my wife about her numbers — married life wisdom. 😅

We started with a U.S. source and just began using our first gray market order. We also have our first batch of tesamorelin vials on the way and are hoping for the best as we branch out into this new part of the journey.

Already feeling more energized and optimistic — we’re here to learn, share what we can, and keep making progress as safely as possible. Looking forward to connecting with everyone!

The healthcare system is so broken here. When my doctor suggested going name brand my costs would have been $1,000 per month. It is insane. I’m glad you are not giving up even if the cards are stacked against us healthcare wise. Good luck!
You're not kidding. I didn't even price it after insurance said no. I had heard the horror stories. Working other channels to continue the journey now 😀

I'm considering switching over to reta from tirz for maintenance soon, and I've definitely been eyeing tesa for my stubborn midsection (the daily injection protocol is what gives me the most pause), so hoping that post your research results as they become available.
