Anyone DIY their own Epi Pen Kit before?

I'm aware there are prescriptions available online, but the pens expire and you need to renew it once a year. With a DIY kit you can buy fresh Epi from India yearly for $30 shipped so it's relatively cheaper in the long run.

Any recommendations on filter syringes and the ideal length and gauge?

There are places to buy the whole kit on discord for 25 or so with the proper needles. Some even with diphenhydramine for afterwards if you need it. That being said I have one of those kits and extra epi but told doc that were getting into beekeeping and wanted epi handy. Insurance covered it 2 pens for 15. Fixing to go pick it up. I was concerned about ampules and swapping filter and injection needles if in distress.

Did more research and looks like the kits include

- BD 305211, dull filter needle to filter out glass from the Epi amplues. Box of 100 for $20, or a few cents each on various websites. For example http://imedsales.com/bd-305211-blunt-fill-ndle-with-filter-18g-x-1-1-2inch-2

- Generic/standard luer lock syringes 1ml recommended, dosing is 0.3 to 0.5mg https://www.amazon.com/EasyTouch-Luer-Lock-Syringe-Barrel-Syringes/dp/B0743KK2DQ

- 27g 1 inch needles https://www.amazon.com/100Pack-Dispensing-Accessories-Measuring-Refilling/dp/B0D6DYKGD9

I think that's everything. Not medical advice don't sue or haunt me if you die

If you have medical insurance with prescription coverage, dm me and I can help you to get a real EpiPen that you don't have to filter from an ampoule during an anaphylactic emergency.
