Just a thought I came across. Obviously a substantial offset, lets say >9 or <3 might. But what about a smaller offset like 7.5 or even 8...
Might be a stupid question. Just wondering. Thanks all

It might affect solubility as well as aggregation depending on the identity of the amino acids in the peptide. (I think you can look up the ideal pH for solubility). But generally, diluting it will help solubility regardless. ā€œPeptidesā€ also have other components that might react differently to pH. It would be hard for us to adjust pH but if youre recon water was way off, (first you probably should throw it out since benzyl alc degrades rapidly at high pH)) you could try it with ultradilute solutions of an appropriate acid and an appropriate base. And a good indicator.
