Hey All, new here and wanted some user's feedback. I started reta this Monday at 2mg, sourced from Skye. Haven't seen too much about them on the forums but they're fast as hell and I wasn't quite sure on the gray market yet, where to buy filters, etc.

Anyways, a buddy of mine said to start at 2mg on Monday, see if I feel effects by day 3. If yes, stick with 2mg, if not, bump another 0.5mg on day 3. Next week start at 2.5mg, see if you're feeling effects on Wednesday... continue til you're at your effective dose. Dial back if you get bad sides. Not sure if this is advisable or not, but I'm not feeling too much of anything on my 3rd day besides some slightly above average acid reflux and slightly less hungry.

Reddit lost their shit when I asked, so wanted to see what y'all thought about this. Also considering upping by 1mg per week depending on how I'm feeling. If not, sticking with phase 2 dosing isn't the worst option. Lemme know what y'all think, and if you've used Skye's reta, please let me know your experience!

Skye is top notch for quality and testing.

Give it some time to build up in your system. If you start on 2 mg for your first weekly dose, with a ~7 day half life, you will still have 1 mg in your system when you take your next weekly dose of 2 mg (so at the start of the second week you will have 3 mg in your system)... Third week it will be 3.5 mg, fourth week it will be 3.75 mg in your system. Then if necessary, jump to the next dose.

Sticking with phase 2 dosing works and is designed to minimize side effects.

I’d stick to 2mg for the 4 weeks. That’s what I did. I then moved to 4 and after that I started going up by 1mg. I stayed 6 weeks at 5mg and 7 weeks at 6mg. Currently at 7mg and hoping I can stay here for 8 weeks.

After this I might look into going up by .5mg instead of 1mg.

I started reta from Eros at 2mg. I did 1 mg 3 days later, then 1mg 3 days after that and got hit with extreme side effects the day after my 3rd shot. 3 days of bad diarrhea, nausea, sulfate burps. by day 3 I couldn't even keep water down. I ended up going to the ER for an IV. after that I just stuck to 2mg for the next two weeks then went to 3mg for 2 weeks then 4mg for for for weeks then 6mg.. don't plan on going up now until weight loss Stalls.

tldr I'd be careful if you haven't been on a glp before...

Skye costs more, but their products are good and significantly cheaper than name brand. Not that name matters with reta.

Reta is known for taking a bit to build up before it works. Take it slow- you've got this. You're playing the long game for health.

Okay that makes perfect sense with the buildup. Was a tad cautious when my buddy suggested it but I'm guessing he didn't experience the side effects solely bc he titrated slowly. He said "if I'd do it again I'd go up more quickly".

Great insight, much appreciated. Will slow my role.

Exactly what I needed to hear, thank ya. Might try some grey market when I run low on the Skye reta but it'll be 3-4 months or so.

definitely! you want to stay at the lowest effective dose for as long as possible to make your product last! i know it's exciting and sometimes tempting to titrate up quickly, but some people get great results at lower doses... but you never know unless you actually stick with the dose for 4 weeks! I didn't have much luck at 2mg (I think I lost maybe 3lbs the first 4 weeks), but the weight started falling off at 4mg. I really only titrate up when food noise gets hard to ignore.
