Yeah same no pep provided but I haven't heard or seen anyone step down like that.
Not saying it's a bad thing at all, actually could be a cool and helpful case study for us all here.
What made you think of doing so? Have you heard of issues going cold off it?

Can you give more background? Do you want to do it short term?

Yes short term. I feel like I can hit my goal in 3 months. I’m very consistent at the gym, 5 days a week, no issues with my workouts. My problem is I’m always hungry and will snack like crazy. Been on Reta for 2 weeks, .5mg and 1mg. I’ve already notice the food noise is gone, I feel full after eating. No desire to eat sweets. So my question is do I keep at steady mg or taper off towards the end of the cycle?

What peptide? I'm assuming Reta but you don't specify
Correct. Reta.

Reta. I found a lot mix reviews on dosing, but I haven’t read on how people are stopping. To me it makes sense to taper off but I don’t a clue. I’m on week 2 and I started at .5mg and moved up 1mg. No side effects yet. Feel good on it so far, down 6lbs and 1% body fat.

My wife and I are on week 1 and started a 0.5, wow 2 weeks in a 6lbs lost is great!

I just started my reta journey. And the thing is, for me, the drug hits me so hard like a truck. So, based on what you said for your schedule, my dosage is just 1 mg a week, and I don't see, for me at least, the point in increasing it. I'm on week 3, and it seems to be getting stronger, and I've kept it the same dosage. I guess I am doing something right because I have not titrated up the dose, but I have seen a lot of people raise their dosage every week. I get no food noise and I get no hunger, no cravings, nothing. And I'm only eating 1,500 calories daily with a lot of protein and working out every day. So for you, if youre like me then might wanna keep at steady mg unless all that returns.

My first pin of .5 gave me an ever so slight headache and made me a bit constipated but my wife, nothing so side effects at all.

that's pretty interesting. I never got any headaches. What I do get is after I pin myself, and then the next day, I am extremely fatigued, but then that fatigue only lasts that day after pinning, then I'm back to normal.

Interesting, my wife woke up saying she felt energized. I didn't experience any difference in my energy levels.

Do you work out daily? I noticed that when I have a heavy leg day and then do stairs for like an hour , I'm still not tired and I am still pretty energized. But for some reason, it's only after the day after I pin myself, then I get some really weird fatigue throughout the day. Im always energized except that day. after getting on reta, energy's been pretty high and stable overall. without reta on 1500 calories i was ultra hungry and dead

Not every day but 3-4 times a week. Prior to pinning I was doing muay thai class 3 days a week but I've heard reta can increase heart rate so I'm going to put the classes on hold until I see how my heart rate is like under heavy load. For now, I'm at home doing jumping rope, push ups, sit ups, squats, dumbbells and hitting the bag.

Normally, after working out I do feel energized but if it's a "im going to kick your asses" class then I'm not energized for the rest of the day.

I have heard reta will increase energy due to increased metabolism and resulting increase in energy source out put?

Yeah, Reta does increase the heart rate, and it is because, as you said it, it increases the energy expenditure at rest. But I'm not sure if the increase of heart rate also applies during heavy exercise, like Muay Thai or just regular lifting. I think it increases your overall beats per minute, resting beats per minute, because of the glucagon effect.

The glucagon effect is interesting and amazing. What are you working on at the gym? Did you notice anything with your heart rate that caused any concern?

I do metabolic conditioning 4 days a week and wear HR monitor. I haven’t noticed any changes in my HR working out. My resting HR was 60 and over the last 5 days it’s gone down to 52. Kinda weird.

Sounds like you're getting even more fit!

At the gym, it's nothing complicated. I just do the push-pull legs split. And I feel like I can definitely feel the glucagon effect because earlier in the year, when I was doing 1500 calories daily, and this was without taking reta, I noticed that my sleep quality was pretty good, but now I'm back on 1500 with reta and I noticed that my sleep quality is kind of weird. I'm really tired, more tired than I used to be. And it could be that my metabolism has increased because the beats per minute is increased, I think by reta, so I just am overall more tired before bed, and I sleep more now than I used to. But I did not notice anything that caused any concern regarding the heart rate. I just am noticing on reta my metabolism is a lot faster, but since I am on it, I don't feel any appetite. So I guess that's really good.

I think that makes sense that it has gone down because you are losing fat and leaning out, so that's what I've noticed, that my resting heart rate has gone down quite a bit. And I find doing cardio so much easier now because I've lost quite a lot of weight. So for example, the treadmill or the stairmaster, it's like easy mode now, and I could go on for much longer.

More sleep = more muscle recovery. I agree, sound like good effects to me. 2nd day on reta and I'm sleeping earlier which personally I like, if I'm out before 930pm I'm a happy camper. Woke up a bit lethargic today but I'm also taking 10mg melatonin and 500 mg Mag Gly. Might cut the melatonin dosage in half and see if it changes anything. It's good to know you didn't notice anything concerning with your heart rate. Cheers 🥂

Reading about these doses are always crazy to me. I started on 0.5mg... Then did another 0.5 every two days until I hit 2mg for the week.

Then I stayed at 1mg per three days for a month, and now I'm on 2mg every three days. I suppose it wouldn't be neccessary to take as much if I didn't need to counter hunger/"food noise" so much, but still.

When I hear about people getting strong side effects at 0.5, I have to wonder if they're getting proper supplemental nutrition. My first dose of 0.5mg I noticed some muscle twitching, skin sensitivity, heightened sense of smell, a handful of other things, but the only thing that persisted was the heightened sense of smell, and of course the intended effects like suppressed hunger/thirst and sickness after overeating.

I'm looking forward to cardio becoming easier. I have massive calves so being about 40 lbs overweight makes even just 3 mins of jumping rope sets my calves on fire. Also, also I enjoy a nice run, with the extra weight, running can become a pain in the knees. Also, getting rid of the abdominal fat should help with my back pain.

People react differently to different things. My wife, all her side effects so far were positive, increased energy and seemingly better mood. For me, the side effect was a slight headache and fatigue, the fatigue surprised me because I just had TRT pellets put in 10 days ago. It seems I'm more sensitive to reta than my wife. But on a positive note we both have already experienced the intended effect of appetite suppression and less food noise.

My wife has decided to step up to 1mg in week 2. I'm still on the fence and leaning towards another week at .5 before stepping up to 1mg. For me, supplementation isn't an issue, I'm eating clean, taking my vitamin stack and drinking my water and electrolytes.

thanks! 9:30 p.m. is like staying up late for me. LOL. I go to sleep at around 8 o'clock. Does the melatonin make a difference? I also heard there's another peptide called DSIP that is supposed to induce some sort of sleep state. I'm thinking that might be something good to add on. I still gotta do a lot more research on it, though.

Yeah, it's so insane, the cardio becomes effortless. Like I can stay on those machines forever. That's what it feels like at least. Previously, without reta, while on those cardio machines, I would get so hungry. It was insane. Now I have maximum energy, and it's so weird because I'm sweating like crazy, yet I don't feel any of the effects like fatigue and hunger and those kinds of things that typically want you to stop the cardio. Also, if running is a pain, what you could do is, what I do is incline treadmill at a decent pace, so that it doesn't wreck your ankles and knees.

The melatonin has quite the effect on me. I take it in gummy form. About 10 minutes after I take it, I'm asleep, unless I'm on my phone or have the TV on, of course. It's also a powerful anti-oxidant to boot. I also put on some rain sounds to cue for my brain that it's time to sleep. Quality of sleep has become so precious to me so I have black out curtains, I've learned the less light in the room the better your quality of sleep.

I just pin one 1 mg per week. I've seen a lot of people, such as yourself, do every x amount of mg per days, like every two days or every three days. Does that make any difference? For me, that 1mg, it does pretty well for me. I don't experience anything that I would need to re-pin again in the same week, but I think everyone's different.
