I’m currently on 45 mg of Tirzepatide. I have to drug test for my new job on August 8. Dumb question, but can this drug cause false positives ? If so, I’ll stop and then start again after on August 8
Please tell me this is a typo. 45mg?? Per week?? 😬I’m currently on 45 mg of Tirzepatide.
No lol that’s the vial I got. I mix it with bac water to dilute it obv. Please tell me this is a typo. 45mg?? Per week?? 😬
It shouldn't come up on a drug test.
Oh, thank goodness. I thought maybe you were setting a world's record for the dose. 🤣No lol that’s the vial I got. I mix it with bac water to dilute it obv.
Even if it did .. its a legal substance. If it triggers a false positive of anything it would be the natural hormones that your body produces on its own. Long story short .. don't worry about this at all. Drug tests they give you for employment are only looking for narcotics.I’m currently on 45 mg of Tirzepatide. Unfortunately some people have really gone heavy handed with their doses. And you dropping that 45mg like that really makes our eyes pop out .. and I'm just a noobie. No lol that’s the vial I got. I mix it with bac water to dilute it obv.
Like others have mentioned, you should refer to your dose, not the vial it comes from.I’m currently on 45 mg of Tirzepatide. I have to drug test for my new job on August 8. Dumb question, but can this drug cause false positives ? If so, I’ll stop and then start again after on August 8
Even if for some weird reason it did show up (which it won't), it would be like metformin or some high blood pressure medication showing up, i.e. nobody would care.I always find this question puzzling.
There are a couple thousand drugs listed in the USP and most tests are looking for maybe a dozen max so why does anyone think that diabetes medication would be something they're looking for? "Hey Marv, let's skip opioids on this test and instead see if this applicant is trying to get skinny because we sure can't have that!"

Metformin can cause false positives. So yes, they very much can careEven if for some weird reason it did show up (which it won't), it would be like metformin or some high blood pressure medication showing up, i.e. nobody would care.
False positive for what?Metformin can cause false positives. So yes, they very much can care
MethamphetamineFalse positive for what?
If metformin makes someone test positive for meth then there is something seriously wrong with the test. They aren't related at all.Methamphetamine
OK, so it wasn't just my eye that thought that was a weird number for Tirz.Unless I missed it, it's been three or four days and the OP still hasn't told us what dose they are taking and I can't help but wonder if they know 😬
Also… a 45 mg vial?
I'm hoping that what he REALLY meant was his dose was 4.5mg. While that might be a small dose it is far better than a mega dose.OK, so it wasn't just my eye that thought that was a weird number for Tirz.
Google says it’s possible with Metformin, but not likely. In my “retirement” I do safety/accident investigations for large corporations. I’ve never seen this on a 12, 14 or 22 panel drug screening. Wellbutrin is the only non amphetamine I’ve seen do it and have never had someone taking it without a prescription. Tirzepatide isn’t going to cause a false positive on these tests.Methamphetamine
