Apologies for a mostly unsubstantial post body, but I wanted to start a thread to get some feedback and hear what people are doing.

I feel like there's a timer on all of this, I don't believe in free meals.

I'm of week 3 of 2mg reta, split doses, and I seem to be in the perfect dosing envelope for appetite supression which is my main concern. 237lbs starting weight, 6' white guy, never been into fitness but I was into supplements and drugs for a long time.

The first week I lost 4lbs, mostly by starving myself, which made me quite tired. The second week I started to take things a little more seriously but I didn't understand splitting protein. Only lost 3lbs. This made me angry.

Since I'm unemployed, I'm trying to agressively cut now. Getting about 120g of high quality protein a day split into four or five shakes, psilium husk fibre for disgestive health, and lots of cardio. I don't have access to a gym so I'm trying my best to work in some upper body/core stuff.

basically not worrying about carbs, just trying to cut fat and calories down to the minimum like 1500-1600 a day with 3+ hours of cardio and activity.

Did anyone go a similar route early on? What was your experience?

I'm only going to keep this up through the weekend, I know it's not sustainable. It's not meant to be.

I would increase your protein to closer to 200g/day. This will help spare some muscle wasting and help with appetite.

Yeah that's ideal but it's just difficult for me to pull off at the moment.

Dude, protein too low and too much cardio. This is how you end up with same shape, just smaller from muscle loss.

Recommendations for protein are all over the place but im barely taller than you and maintain muscle decently at 160ish grams of protein per day.

Bro, if you are getting all your calories from 5 shakes, not good. Eat real food. Chicken, lean steak, turkey...
Shakes are a supplement to help fill in missing protein from real food..

It's high dollar beef isolate protein with colostrum and organ meat added in. I think I'm going to survive a 5 day cut bro. Tomorrow I'm switching it up for a pound of beef and 5 eggs. Maybe a chicken breast.

Eating food got me into this mess 🤣

How long have you been going for? I definitely felt myself get weaker over the first two weeks when I was floundering on the protein, it's gotten better but not where I'd like it. The protein thing is a work in progress. I realize it's not ideal, but I'm also not scared of losing a little muscle mass. Muscle isn't nearly as difficult to gain back as fat is to lose. When I was lardy I had no problems eating 200g a day.

Aggressive cuts are useless (unless you're an IFBB pro 2 weeks out).
Slow and steady wims the race.

It was a 6ish month cut. Now just finished a bulk and probably a 2-3 month cut to get back to 12-13 percent bodyfat.

Yes muscle memory is a thing and regains fast, but why waste time cutting to look and feel like shit? And the rapid cut plus regain muscle time is likely longer than just cutting properly. Probably some form of toxic masculinity or being a veteran, but i refuse to be weak. And with lean mass loss, you may very well end up with a super low maintenance calories.

Plus here's a thing most dont tell you and have seen it personally too many times. Rapid weightloss with no regard to lean mass results in a gaunt face while having a very odd skinny fat build. Its why facial fillers have become so popular with reckless glp weightloss.

Im firmly under the belief, to use GLPs increase adherence to a proper diet and workout routine vs to crash your way down to a lower weight.
