And it causes me major anxiety. Crypto deserves no love. I'm so over it. Even with many transactions under my belt ( with only one major lesson learned the hard way) I still find it ridiculous and it feels scammy. Fees here, fees there. And who gets that money when someone sends wrong? And why is it okay to keep it?

Just wanted to vent this somewhere. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Getting a minor stroke everytime it takes 24 minutes for funds to be sent and getting the recieved confirmation is like the biggest relief in the world. First a fee to buy it. Then a fee to send it to your wallet and then a fee to send it to the vendor. Yeah it does feel scammy.

Thank you for the validation.

Every crypto transaction I feel like I’m juggling knives while riding a horse. No mistakes yet, but certainly several imaginary heart attacks! I feel like the moment I dont check the wallet addresses 3X I’m going to send money into the abyss.

FWIW, I have been saving a LOT of money on fees since upgrading my Coinbase account to the $5/month one. I live in NY, USA which has insanely strict crypto rules so all the low fee way of purchasing (PayPal, CashApp, Robinhood) don’t apply to me. I have to buy in Coinbase Exchange, send to Coinbase wallet to swap if I can’t buy the type of currency the vendor takes, send to Exodus wallet then to vendor. I know it’s a part of the gray game but MAN!!

Speaking of a minor stroke, this is what my Exodus welcome screen looks like on a PC. My heart skips a beat. After a moment it updates to show me the $200 I keep in there. It sure would be nice if it said "Updating..." or something like that instead of "No holdings". WTF?

I still haven't taken the plunge with the weirder crypto with different networks and all that. Trying to figure that out nearly gave me an aneurysm. Just going with BTC was so much easier. Still have to learn the other ones as many vendors don't use BTC. Give me strength!

FWIW swedish banks are not really cooperating with crypto wallets / exchanges..
Personally I used creditcard -> revolut -> exodus -> vendor

but moving 2500SEK i think cost around 200SEK+ in fee's.. it works but i don't think it's the best..
Compared to mounjaro it's still cheaper 🙂

I use Revolut as well but found Safello where you can pay with Swish. Works great. 52 sek fee for 1500 sek worth of BTC.
