On Tirz my fasting insulin went from 10 down to 3.4, which is sort what is expected on a GLP1.

I've been on legit reta (verified by a third party lab) for about 5 weeks. Last week I did a fasted insulin test, and it came back as 33. I assumed it must have been a lab error, since it's like 10x the last value that was only two weeks earlier. I did it again today, and it came back as 33 again. That defies everything I know about GLP1s. Anyone have any thoughts? I thought after the first one maybe I swallowed some toothpaste or something accidentally, but I was super careful for the one today.

My HbA1C was 4.8% last time, and today's blood sugar was 86. So those are fine. But my fasted insulin has skyrocketed and I don't know why.

Retatrutide increases insulin production. Anecdotally, this happens in the early stages of treatment and gets better over time. Tirz and other glp-1 meds can do this also. You might think about talking to your doctor about it if it stays high, or switching back to tirz.
