So I had a question since I did my first filtering last night. I was very shocked about the pressure I was using to push the reconned fluid through the filter. It litterally felt like I was going to blow the filter apart. I was pushing the plunger hard and the fluid came out nicely and at a good rate. Does this sound right? Or use less pressure and take more time to extract? It seemed like no in between. Either hard pressure or nothing was extracting.

Thanks as aways,
Bill

I can feel so stupid sometimes. So basically a brand new sterile vial is the total opposite to a vacuum sealed vial. Now I wish I would have paid more attention in my physics classes.

Shoot. Did not know about that. Thank you. I watched videos on it and no one did that.
There you go. Peptide Critic with the rat uses a vent needle.

Bingo.

Did you have an extra vent needle in the vial you are filling ?

You can filter smaller amounts into a vial and not always use vent pin, but your 2ml and 3ml probably created some pretty good back pressure...The pin in the picture looks like it has its own filter and under lab conditions, maybe that would be correct....There has been conversation on air gettin in the sterile vial via the vent pin and compromising sterility, but in my mind, the air is flowing 'out', not in, and I don't worry about it too much...

It’s supper funny when I first started going grey. The thought of reconning my own vials horrified my wife and I. When we bought our 3ML needles for reconning we bought 100 and we both thought we will never use all those. Ya right. When does the madness stop. But that’s what I love about the grey process. The madness never stops.

Could you use a smaller pin like a 30 or 29 and just pull the plunger out?

The first times I drew liquid out of a vial, I'd try and hold the syringe and vial, and pull the plunger back and stuff would be flopping...bent more needles than I'd like to admit....😎 I have my "one handed hold technique now'....Like you said, lot to love about it... 👍

Get a box of 25ga 5/8" Luer Lock needles (just the needles, no syringe) offa Amazon...pretty cheap for like a 100...

I like you Bill. You're not afraid to ask questions which is good. Lots of good info here that can help out new people. I didnt need any help with filtering but you have asked questions in the past that I was always wondering about.
I like everyone here so much. Everyone has been wonderful. I’ve learned a ton and I feel what I’ve learned will keep my wife and I safe and healthy. I appreciate that this board is monitored beautifully and everyone here loves to teach.

Husband and wife deal here as well. She just comes for her shot when I call, and doesn't ask questions. Sometimes I get "that look" if I accidentally make it hurt.
