Good morning my friends, this morning I hit my absolute final goal! I don't think I've weighed in at this weight since I was 12. Never went above 5mg of Tirz. Now I gotta figure out what dose and how often to neither gain or lose. Anyone got any tips for finding that maintenance dose? Do I just lower the dose and stretch out injection times to 10 days? Split dose every 5 days? New territory now so if anyone has some suggestions I'm all ears

I look at peps as crutches, needed until you can walk on your own. I’m sure by now you have healthy habits in place and access to a quality calorie calc/tracker.

Oh yeah I do, but I don't plan on getting off of Tirz. Even with calorie counters and dieting I have battled the food noise my whole life. No amount of dieting will stop that. Not to mention the inflammation benefits. Tirz fixes my broken brain and after fighting myself for 40 years I refuse to go back to the tug o'war that I fought before. My goal is to find the best maintenance dose.

One-Factor-at-a-Time (OFAT): it's the principle of a single variable factor in experimental methods.

Either reduce the dose and maintain the same schedule, or keep the dose the same and increase the interval between injections (starting with 1 day).

It's only once you reach steady state (~5 half-lives, or about 1 month) that you'll be able to see what effect this pattern has on you.

You'll see whether your body responds better to the average dose or the pulse, or if there's no significant difference. Maybe you'll just find it more comfortable to have fewer injections. It will take you between 3 and 6 months to figure that out.

Official studies show that after completely stopping Tirz, most patients regained weight fairly quickly.

I was thinking lowering dose and increasing interval, basically see how long before the food noise starts getting to loud. I have no clue if this is a solid game plan but we call it research for a reason...right. I'm hoping others that have reached their goal can chime in on what method worked best for them. I guess my new goal is to not gain it back while I'm figuring this out.

I will never not be on Tirz, I stockpiled it. I'm good for years.

Good for you pumpkin. I'm 5lbs away, and will go down to Reta 2 or 4mg, maybe 6mg from 9mg. We'll see.
It's incredible to see those goal numbers popping up on that scale! Huge congrats to you as well.
I'm in the 'figure it out' phase. I definitely don't want to lose anymore but I'm worried about finding that perfect medium to hold steady. I can't gain anything, I just got some new clothes and threw out all my big girl stuff 😂

This is basically why I shared the OFAT principle (not zero FAT, but it could be 🙂.

If you vary both factors at the same time without having the statistical tools to understand what's happening, it's no longer research, but wild guesses.

You can always try it for a month and see what happens, but since you'll still have some Tirz from the previous month's doses in your blood, you won't know what to do other than keep going like this.

Basically the same plan, especially the "figure it out" part. I could stop now, and be fine, but I want that last 5lbs which have seemed to slow down. I'll keep my wife on the higher doses. I had saved my clothes from two years ago when I was working that fit great now, might even be a little big. Retirement is where I gained all the weight.

I get you now. I'll try the same dose and longer intervals first. Appreciate you explaining that 😊

Congrats! I'm at a stall and actually gained a few lbs (not sure if fat or water or what because I'm still exercising on a solid regiment) and it's nice to see goals being met. No experience here but I've read to titrate down and coast for awhile to see how you feel and then go from there.

The first step I think is to define your guardrails, you won’t hold 110lb, when is intervention warranted? At least a couple pound range, either way, I’d think (depends on your variability).

If you go under you need to eat more, if you go over you need to eat less. In our case appetite control largely comes from the dose size.

What’s been your trajectory at this dose over the last several weeks/months? That will give you an idea of the scale of adjustment needed.

Then decide what’s easier. For me, I would rather dose the same day every week rather than keep track of every 10th day (or whatever) which constantly moves. I have an app that could track it, but meh. For me, smaller doses and maybe dropping from 2x weekly to weekly may be a thing.

Congratulations! What an amazing achievement and payoff for your dedication.

Just some anecdotal feedback based on my personal experience on this subject:
A lot depends on how you got where you are; with such a low dose there may be more factors.

I personally had a very strict routine and went 4lbs below goal before changing anything, at that point I changed how strict I was with myself, and that has been my only change for over 12 months. My dose is the same and timing is the same, but I am OK with that because I think there are many benefits outside of weight loss to these peptides.

As for my weight; I added a few pounds, some from TRT, some from being below target, but started working on composition and muscle. The net result for me is my weight is the same every week, every month, for the last 9 months.

At just 5mg Tirz you are barely at the base level, you may notice that loosening up on your concept of losing and treating yourself creates enough balance.

My 2 cents...

Either way.. you are a Champion! Congrats!

Thank you 😊
Interesting, so no changes made other than just if you want it you eat it? Not every thing but you get my gist. This may be the perfect solution for me as well. It would be nice to stay on the schedule I've been on for so long

I think THIS is where you're only going to find what works FOR YOU...as you go lab-rattin' yourself if you're not seeing a "specialist" who would just make recommendations anyway. I think your own ideas are worth trying-just pick one and see how it works... and keep us posted. 😎

I have a great endocrinologist who handles my very complex medical situation. Aware of my Retatrutide use, how much, how often, source etc.

The suggestion for a maintenance dose was as follows: You can spread out the use of the same dose from 6 to 10 days, or you can try reducing the dose and use the same frequency. The response was that both methods work but some folks prefer one over the other.

I am also at my goal weight and have backed off to 3mg per week, down from 3+2 every week.

I don't have any thoughts or recommendations on your path forward since I'm still 10 lbs away from goal. Hopefully I'm needing the same advice in the near future.
But I did want to pop in and give you a big round of applause and say Congratulations!

That's amazing. Congrats. You can do some experimentation since you said you never went above 5 mg of tirz; that may just be your maintenance dose. Or you can lower that to 4 mg a week for a month and see how it goes. And if you find the results are the same, lower it down to 3 for another 3 to 4 weeks and see how you feel. Keep going lower, and then if it's annoying with the food noise returning an all, then raise it up by another mg and bam, I think that would be your maintenance dose. The goal would be to find the minimum effective dose. So it's gonna take a lot of weeks of experimenting, but at least you reached your absolute final goal, so the hard part is out of the way. Maintenance is super easy!

Congratulations!!!!! That’s a real achievement. My 2 cents, like others said, lower the dose a little at a time, do not extend time in between at the same time.

Go slowly.
