I finally did it—I ordered a single vial of Reta 6 mg to start microdosing. After a lot of research, I’m hopeful this route can help me lose 10–15 #.
Current stats: 5’6” , 140 #.

Like many moms, I’ve felt the loss of identity that can come with losing autonomy. I’ve always taken pride in my athletic build, but lately I’ve been struggling to maintain the physique I want while juggling life with a two-year-old, a full-time job, and a partner who’s rarely home.

That said, I’m highly active—resistance training four days a week with cardio on top—and I generally eat pretty well. My biggest weakness is definitely sugar 🙃.

My plan is to reconstitute with 1.2 mL of BAC and start with 10 units (0.5 mg) weekly for two weeks, then reassess from there. If needed, titrate to 1mg/week.

This whole process has been both overwhelming and nerve-wracking—but it’s also given me a sense of hope. My biggest concern right now is the potency and safety of the Reta itself, along with getting the best bang for my buck.

If you’ve used Reta for similar goals, I’d love to hear about your experience. What side effects did you notice? Did you titrate up—and if so, how quickly? Any tips or lessons learned would be so appreciated!

I started at 1mg for 2 weeks ( was concerned about heart rate increase.) On sema my RHR went from 50's to 72 so was worried that Reta would make it even higher! No increase in RHR on 1mg so went to 2 mg after 2 weeks. I did 2 mg for 4 weeks then 4 mg for 4 weeks and now up to 6 mg. My RHR gets to 61-62 at the beginning of the week then down to 59-60 at the end so no massive increase. I gained about 10 lbs when I came off sema and until Reta started to work. I was at 155 and now down to 142. Food noise has completely gone now and can hardly eat anything. I was careless and didn't account for the 6 mg overfill of the 24 mg so probably been taking 7.5 mg instead of 6 mg ( I'm going to recalculate the next dose because the lack of appetite is not healthy!)

For the first few weeks I had lower back pain but that's disappeared now. Allodynia is crazy! 90% of my skin hurts ( been a little better this week thou.) Constipation is the same as on Sema. That's it for side- effects for me. My blood work looked good on Sema but haven't had it tested since being on Reta so have no idea if it's any different now.

Don't expect really fast weight loss when you don't have much to lose ( the people losing 10 lbs in 2 weeks are at a lot heavier weights than us!) See it as a long-term tool to improve our health. Slow and steady is a much healthier way to go about weight loss. I'd recommend just to follow Eli Lilly's titration schedule and don't go higher unless you need to.

Good luck on your Reta journey and I hope it works for you.

I was on tirz at lower dosage and tried to change to reta with 1 mg per week but hunger almost made me eat myself so I added tirz again.
I am now going to 2,5 mg of reta and titrate 4 weeks later.
If meanwhile hunger suppression really kicks hard I will drop Tirz and stay on Reta

I didn't get any appetite suppression until the 4th week on 4 mg. Even then it wasn't a huge amount! Like I said I didn't account for the 6 mg overfill on the 24mg of Reta so probably taking about 7.5mg. The appetite suppression now is insane- I have zero appetite and even a few mouthfuls is too much. Going to make sure I get closer to 6 mg this week.

When you get to the right dose for you the suppression will happen. Just be patient until you get there!

Thanks. I have to fight the urge to titrate too fast.
It will happen in time.
