I've ordered probably 12-15 peptide orders from various companies, all of them have arrived without issues.

I ordered one from a company in March, and unfortunately they tried to deliver it a few times when I wasn't home, then gave up. It didn't end up a local delivery pickup spot or anything, and nobody called me. It just ended up being re-routed back to the original company via the same carrier. That was end of March.

I've been asking for updates from the sales person almost daily now about what happens next. The response is always "we are checking with a manager" or "we need to wait for the package to return". Since it was marked as "being returned to sender" in March, and hasn't had any updates since, I don't know what else I can reasonably do here. The salesperson seems to be waiting until it eventually shows up, but hasn't given any suggestions for if that doesn't happen. I've been told a few times "I'm just an employee" so I can't do much.

I've been super patient and polite, but at this point I'm not sure what is normal. Should they be trying to reship this package to me, or is it normal to wait for it to eventually go back? Is asking for a refund at this stage normal? I did order a second package from them between when the first shipped and when it failed to be delivered, and that one was fine.

Just looking for some suggestions as this is the first time it's happened and I feel like I'm not any closer to getting a resolution here, and I don't feel like the salesperson has any other suggestions other than just waiting more time. Thanks.

I’m sure this will be unpopular opinion… but this is not a failed delivery. The supplier didn’t fail to get this to your destination, you failed to be available at the destination for delivery.

That said… if you can show via tracking that it made it back to the supplier, it’s very reasonable to ask the supplier for a refund of all but shipping…. Or for a reship where you pay for the shipping a second time.

Why would you need to be home to receive a package?
Sometimes a signature is required, but there are workarounds:

some require signature. May be vendor requested, idk.... ive left a note on my door with sharpie writing that says fedex/ups please leave package.... print my name and sign and theyre fine with that. They snap a photo, got ur signature, theyre covered... i had a few emails from vendors saying package come in few days for signature.

Word of advice: be home when delivery comes or have someone else sign for it otherwise the package could be stolen or you forfeit it by not signing. If you can’t then you can try contacting the organization delivering or leave a note. Definitely not the vendors fault and it may take time to get back to China. When it’s returned I would ask for a refund and return to a vendor that shipping with a company that doesn’t need a signature. It’s better to stick to a couple solid vendors that you trust instead of hopping around because then you know exactly what to expect with shipping.

Rare here. Only a few times was it for high end items, and I'm good with that. I have left a note take it next door to the neighbor and they'll sign.

In almost all cases the package would end up at a neighbour's house or at a pickup spot - that never happeend. Most people can't reasonably be at home 24/7 to receive a package. If I had sent an item to someone else via my business I would be responsible until it was actually delivered. I'm not trying to throw them under the bus here, but I don't even know if they tried to deliver it or just said they did, which actually happens in Spain sometimes with some couriers. I'm looking for a reasonable solution, which is why I asked for some suggestions.

This happens to me often with foreign deliveries. I have a rural property which is gated. With the us shippers FedEx UPS, usps. I can sign for the deliveries before hand and they’ll leave them at the gate or my front porch if I leave the gate open in anticipation of the delivery. However when ordering from china they use non US based carriers who have different policies which may not work with my situation. Often they will email me and I will have to leave the gate open for days at a time. Or they just don’t try again and return to sender. So then I will write down that carrier and make a note to not use them again when I make another purchase.

You don't have informed delivery options in Spain? Curious?

I'm (almost always) too lazy to walk to the front door so I answer the delivery guy through my doorbell.
"Yoooo, I'm taking a sh!t. Just put it down, bro.. it's all good."

Never missed a package...

Do you have any tracking for the automatic return? or it just shows returned to sender?

In general, superhuman patience is sometimes required for Chinese customer service. (That's why I avoid them, besides they can disappear tomorrow. Living outside the US, your options are more limited. But I have heard of GB groups in Europe, which would be a way to avoid having to deal with the Chinese yourself in the future.)

This, 100%
The vendor held up their end and is not responsible for your lack of due diligence in this situation, at least as you have presented it anyway.
This is a pickup failure.

This doesn't seem to be a good courier that the vendor (or original delivery company) used, if they left no notices apparently:

So, @peptidepower77, what did the tracking info that you were given by the Chinese vendor say? Or did you not get tracking info for the last leg of delivery?

I assume it is MY job to look after MY investments, not the couriers to advise me of missed obligations to myself. Just my .02, and I’ve been known to be cantankerous and curmudgeonly. 😎👍

Yeah, with tracking numbers from FedEx, UPS, or USPS, not to mention informed delivery and Ring doorbell cameras. Seems like a very different situation if a no-name carrier in Spain. It seems we don't even know for sure that delivery was attempted, which is what a notice would have established.

Maybe the OP failed to mention some details about the tracking situation, but he never had an issue before or with the next delivery.

I have had FedEx lie and say they attempted delivery on a Saturday when I was home all day. Some drivers suck out loud.

This is Denmark, but I didn't receive a parcel because the sender didn't put my email on it the info.
It's required in Denmark, if they want to put parcel in pick-up shop. They won't just leave it, until told it's ok.
But the sender did contact me, so my email got on and I received my parcel.
I can't be expected to be at home all the time.

Some unsolicted advice from Google Gemini:

Since you've dealt with this before, here are two ways to bypass the "sender forgot my email" headache in the future:
  • The PostNord App / "Modtagerflex": If you haven't already, you can register your address and contact info directly in the app. Often, if they see a parcel heading to your address, it will automatically link to your profile based on your name/address, even if the sender left the email field blank.

  • Pakkeboks/Nærboks: You can set a preferred "fixed" delivery point. This sometimes forces the system to route it correctly the moment it enters the Danish sorting facility.

thanks !
Yes i know, but this was not Postnord, but gls. And it never happens with parcels fron denmark, they just leave it by my door.
Maybe a shady AF lparcel.
