Hi all- Thanks to all of you and the admins for sharing your experiences putting this info out there. After diving down many rabbit holes and dead ends over the past few months it has been great to get your perspectives and learn from your experiences. I'm a 54F 5' 6" on HRT and have about 55 lbs (maybe more) to lose. I've started Reta three weeks ago -- 0.5mg for two weeks then 1 mg last week. So far so good down about 5 lbs. Side effects aren't intolerable so far: Some increased heart burn. Waking up 30-60 minutes earlier than normal. Slower digestion. Everyone said to drink more water (something I don't typically enjoy) but a) it helps with digestion and b) I don't hate it (!?!). I definitely feel the affect on my appetite and have an easier time avoiding late night snacking. I'm going to need a better strategy for getting in enough protein --I don't start eating until about 1-2pm and now there don't seem like there are enough hours in the day and room in my stomach. Looking forward to being a participating member of the community! Any and all tips and tricks are welcome.

It sounds like you're doing very good. Always eat your protein first. If you can't eat too much during the day, I find that I like Atkins Strong shakes to make up for what I miss (usually day 1-3 after my shot) Each shake has 7 g of prebiotic fiber and 30 grams of protein. Fiber gummies help, too. I drink a lot of water and every now and then, I'll have to take a famotidine for the reflux/heartburn. Good luck to you!
