Fitomics Research Labs Discount Blood Testing

there is a lot of information in this thread. i have been thinking about joining fitomics for monthly multi-test draws primarily around hormonal labs, (ie test, free test, shbg, estrogen, thyroid, igf-1).

is fitomics one of the better options cost wise, or are there better options out there?
Fitomics and Goodlabs are the best I have found.

There is a testosterone panel at Goodlabs for Quest that is very well priced.

All for only $22 plus draw fee:

Albumin
Testosterone (Total)
SHBG
Free Testosterone (Direct MS Assay)
Testosterone (Bioavailable)

Same panel is $70 with GoodLabs through Labcorp.

awesome. thank you very much for verifying. now i just need to get my thumb out and actually sign up and get myself down for a baseline draw.

Pricing for those individually at Fitomics using Quest is similar enough:

A CMP (comprehensive metabolic panel) already includes albumin.

"Free Testosterone is the portion not bound to albumin or SHBG" (Gemini).

Great! Please DM me a referral code for Goodlabs if you'd like

Mid-cycle blood work from Goodlabs. Cost about $40 more than going thru doc/insurance. Doc never orders the correct shit even if I print out exactly what I want, almost as if he has no idea what he's doing and just cruising to retirement.... Plus I get many more panels1773682623187.png1773682792276.webp

When I tried to cancel Fitomics just now, the website offered me 50 percent off my next month.

These promo codes still work for ordering bloodwork (does not apply to subscription price):

FIRST10 (10% off first lab order)

Otherwise for lab orders: DISCORDLABS for 5% off

Well dang, I tried the code you posted back in February but it wasn’t working. I’d have been happy saving ~$83 on my first order😂

FIRST10 may still work on your next (likely smaller) order, since you haven't used it before. Not sure. I used it in May of last year, but I see it regularly on their website including today (on a pop-up of sorts to get your e-mail):

The 5% code DISCORDLABS (mentioned by the OP) has worked since 2024.

I always assumed people order more with the FIRST10 coupon than they would otherwise. So more like a permission slip than true savings. But in your case, probably not since it was such a large order anyway.

If it makes you feel better, I just learned I could have gotten a commission, like you stated:

But we are too zen to care, right? Haha. Or we just have less money for unnecessary non-GLPs or oral supplements or whatever. All we need is plant-based hippie vibes.

My go-to order is just IGF-1 with fasting insulin at Labcorp (about $22 total). I do order other things now and then. But I don't do TRT anymore, which cuts down on testing a lot.

Better than their Black Friday deal (which was 25% off):

"Use code EASTER2026 at checkout for 28% off any lab order — whether you're tracking a single marker or running a full panel."

"This offer expires Monday at 11:59 PM CST. Don't miss it."

So orders are good for 6 months, I assume if I’m forecasting I place one order per visit so they populate as individual lab order requests?

Yes. But the promo code may only work once per account:

How it works

1. Browse the Lab Shop

2. Add tests to your cart

3. Enter code EASTER2026 at checkout

4. 28% comes right off
I am about 80 percent sure you can only use the code once. I just e-mailed them and will get back to you, regarding multiple uses of the promo code.

Good news! We can use it as much as we want (until end of Monday, their CST time). So a great way to order future tests.

They e-mailed me back quick, an hour ago:

Great question! You can use this code as many times as you would like through Monday, April 6th. Please let us know with any further questions!

So thanks @woundcarping for bringing it up.

“Off any lab order” with the expiry made me think it may be open ended until the expiry.

Thanks for posting and checking!

In November 2024, the OP mentioned that people would do multiple orders during a sale:

1775317933599.webp
And he mentioned it again last May:
There are a number of customers who wait for a big sale, sign up, order 6 different tests, then unsubscribe. There are scenarios where they LOSE money on those transactions overall. With draw fees being taken from subscription prices, 6 draws is $50ish. So they are -$20 on the $30 subscription. Then the big sale of 26% off (easter), their margins are small to begin with. Say the member only buys a $6 test....

Maybe they need to limit the big discount sales to members that have been subscribed for at least 2 months...

Just spitballing here. Again, all feedback appreciated... the good and the bad.

But I forgot about it since no such mentions since. And there wasn't much interest here with the last Black Friday deal, when I mentioned it. I guess the competition from GoodLabs was one reason.

I wasn't big on IGF-1, etc. during Black Friday. But I will order multiple tests this time before the Monday deadline. Going to order one now before I forget.

FYI the code also works on their Insider memberships

What tests do you all suggest to someone starting Tirz for the first time? Friends often ask me about GLP weight loss (we’re all walking billboards it seems) and I always tell them to test before and during, anything to add or remove to this list?

Organ function:
  • CMP
  • Lipase and Amylase (check for rare problems with
Pancreatitis)
- Thyroid Panel (TSH, Free T3, Free T4) as baseline for risk of Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma box warning

Metabolic & Healthspan
  • HbA1c & Fasting Glucose
  • Fasting Insulin & HOMA-IR
  • Comprehensive Lipid Panel + ApoB
  • Lp(a) (because everyone should test it once)
  • hs-CRP (inflammation)

Nutrition and hematological markers/
  • CBC
  • Vitamin D
  • Iron Panel & Ferritin
  • Vitamin B12 and Folate
  • Uric acid (rapid weight loss can increase and mess with those who have gout)

Thanks for posting this.

It turned out I hadn't seen my email before I saw it here. I ordered my labs for May and September, plus amylase and lipase for tomorrow, saving a total of nearly $150. 💪

Just got another reminder email:

"Lab tests are HSA/FSA eligible, and your requisitions are valid for 6 months — so there's no rush to schedule."

Fitomics on Youtube:

For example, a video mentioning ribosome biogenesis and satellite cell mobilization:

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=im220zHmu1k

AI summary:

This video features a deep-dive discussion on muscle hypertrophy and molecular adaptation, hosted by the Fitomics team with guest Dr. Michael Roberts from Auburn University. They explore the science behind how muscle grows and the complexities of human physiology.

Key Topics Covered:

  • Muscle Biology & Methodology: The discussion highlights the importance of muscle biopsies (12:47) in understanding bioenergetics and molecular responses. They discuss the validity of rodent models in exercise research (14:55) and their high translational value to human physiology (19:57).

  • Hypertrophy Mechanisms:
    • Myonuclear Permanence: Explaining the concept of "muscle memory" (42:51), where muscle cells retain extra nuclei even after periods of disuse or cessation of anabolic agents (43:56).

    • Sarcoplasmic vs. Myofibrillar Hypertrophy: A deep dive into the debate surrounding these growth types (45:43), referencing specific studies like Haun et al. (54:38) and the potential role of sarcoplasmic expansion in high-volume training (1:02:37).
  • Genetic & Molecular Variability: They address why some individuals respond better to training than others (1:16:46), focusing on factors like ribosome biogenesis (1:18:13) and satellite cell mobilization (1:18:49). They also touch upon the use of advanced sequencing and machine learning to predict hypertrophic responses (1:31:15).

  • Practical Applications & Future Directions:
    • Nutrition: The role of high protein intake (up to 3+ grams/kg) in optimizing body composition (1:36:15).

    • Aging & Longevity: How resistance training acts as a buffer against age-related muscle loss and metabolic decline (18:15, 1:52:57).

    • Future Research: The lab is currently exploring the effects of disuse (leg bracing models) and advanced imaging like DTI to better understand muscle fiber architecture (1:48:43).

And they are waiving the draw fees for non-subscription members. Which is shockingly good.

The lab orders are good for at least six months.
