How long did it take from a vendor saying 'I have submitted a refund request' to them confirming 'it's been approved' and you actually get refunded?
If it is normal for it to take a week or so then I won't worry, but I'm wondering if I am being strung along and need to ask them to get with it, or just give them even more time. They did message me yesterday (no promping from me) saying again it has been submitted and please wait patiently. I said no problem. But still curious how long this process actually should take.

Most likely they're just a sales rep for the big dogs and it has to go up the chain of command.

I think a week is ridiculous. Please leave a vendor review. There’s no way I’d do any future business with them. Unacceptable. Period.

Bill
I plan to review them thoroughly, it's not been the greatest experience. But I'm waiting to actually get the refund before I review so it can be accurate/fair.

I've received refunds from 2 different vendors in recent months, and each time it was about 1-2 days. Both refunds were due to widespread problems such as shipping and testing.
Mine is due to it being shipped back to them after customs failure x2. I ordered April 15th and still no product or money back.

Since they already promised you a refund and it's been over a week, you may want to give them a little nudge, but I wouldn't get too worried about it yet. I've heard of others that waited for 1-2 weeks for refunds from a few specific vendors, so I may just be one of the lucky few.

It hasn't been a full week yet but I was checking if it is normal to take more than a few days. It's the weekend now so it'll likely take a few days longer.

2 hours, however, pushing the vendor to actually acknowledge there was an issue and that I didn't want to wait for another shipment to be sent while they were out of stock for 2 items out of the order took a few weeks of following up until I outright said I wanted a refund.

We ended up working out a deal where they sent the remaining order and I got a full refund on the items that they could no longer get/were out of stock.

I legitimately think they felt bad and were mostly acting with good intent even though they kept telling me to be patient and that they were waiting on a confirmation that the shipment had been seized a second time (this period was like a month of supposedly being stuck in customs).

The vendor has been diligent since then and has been checking in and supplying updates more regularly. It helps when you treat them with respect while also framing the issue in a flattering way that provides the benefit of the doubt towards their work ethic and intentions.

It's a Chinese drug dealer Bill. A week is perfectly reasonable and you're lucky to get a refund at all.
I WILL feel lucky to get a refund (if I get it). The same vendor I'm dealing with changed their refund policy mid shipment (after I had already ordered) with their Australian customers after a bunch of their packages had been siezed in AUS. As in the Aus customers ordered under one policy/understanding and the vendor refused to refund and changed their policy to no refunds for Aus customers instead of honor it for those affected. They all got screwed. But it was too late for me to chose a better vendor so I've been a bit concerned they'll do the same to me. Thankfully mine was shipped back to them versus just siezed, so if they don't refund me they're literally stealing and that would cause a stink for them. I am worried they'll do a partial refund or make an excuse for why they are refusing to refund. But that is just making worries without reason right now.

I have been being respectful and patient. Definitely giving them the benefit of the doubt even though I've been proven wrong for trusting them. Them being the specific contact, not necessarily the vendor.

Totally, I mean it also doesn't help to be hostile when you don't have leverage. If they are trying to save face, framing the issue that gives them the benefit of the doubt psychologically helps guide them to the position you want so long as you are respectfully insistent.

I will say the vendor I have been dealing with sounds a little better than most despite likely having tried stalling for time, after it was seized the first time, to get the two items. I would have preferred if they had been more forthright, but I believe I will actually get my order now.

Be polite for a day or 2, if they are still jerking you around, then your leverage is to threaten them with a negative public review. This seems to work!

While it may work, I don't like doing that sort of thing. I'm hoping it's a non issue.
I see different sides in this thread and I appreciate you being patient, understanding and willing to wait for the wholesaler to make amends.

I think we have this mindset, especially in America, that it's our way or the highway when we don't actually know what really, truly goes on behind the scenes of a Chinese operation. Foreign policies and work ethics are completely different from how the US works and operates. I know you're from Australia but again, each country, I like to think has its own way of processing and dealing with these types of situations.

I pretty much said a bunch of nothing, BUT, to get out of all this, you're a good man that's willing to wait and see the outcome before making a judgment.

Is there a way you can tell us or DM me the vendor? I'll let you know if they're legit or not.

This. Respectfully, people think they are buying from Amazon Prime. You are buying from a drug dealer a few thousand miles away. I've done several orders with 4 or 5 different vendors, and I always accept that it's gonna take weeks, and may be some hiccups along the way. Do your due diligence and you won't be ripped off, just takes a while sometimes.

Two things for me to clarify, I'm from the US, I just mentioned seeing the Australian situation unfolding on TG and having that be a discouraging thing to see happen. I'm also a lady, Amos was my dog. I am starting to realize my username is misleading lol. Sorry there.
I am sure they are a legit vendor, one of the bigger ones here anyways.

But yes I am thinking the difference in what we have been groomed to expect as Americans with shipping and 'customer first' service in general really can't have any bearing on how we approach dealing with vendors as they are so different in reality. Many of us are spoilt and out of touch with reality, or frankly just idiots or jerks. It's frustrating sometimes but given it's all so grey, it is what it is. Some are doubtless more customer forward but ultimately it's all about money and greed will out eventually.

You have to keep on then. They will blow smoke as long as possible. I’ve had to get in their public chat before and confront them. They tend to instantly have a fire under their asses. As soon as I go public with their service they send me refund. Which it sucks to do that but I feel like at the same time I helping the next person that might have an issue to maybe think twice about going through that vendor. I don’t think it’s cool they tie up or money like that especially if you need that money to buy.

Right....I keep forgetting that china is our "friend"!
To be fair, IMO these China sellers are more our friend, than the FDA/Big Pharma tag team that will only sell us items like GLP1 at exorbitant prices. If we can't afford Big Pharma prices, they are more than happy to let people die of diseases tied to obesity etc. or alternatively, they will then sell you their other drugs that treat the symptoms (like Statins) etc but not cure the underlying issue.

The idea of doing that stresses me out terribly. I hate drama and I hate being in the hot seat. I also hate hurting people feelings because what if I misunderstood something or whatever and then made them look bad unfairly? Anyways I really hope they just follow through with a refund and this can all be over and done with.

This is 100% the damn truth. Some of these younger people who get in these GB for the first time obviously can't read. The vendor flat out says "This can take 6-12 weeks, or longer." It's being made to order usually, and coming from China. Shipping, customs and so on. Then a couple weeks later "where's my stuff." I'm sure they want to strangle them. These are the same ones that never read about the stuff, heard about it from a friend and make up some wild dosing schedule.
