For those who suffered with fatigue, how long did it take to improve?

I’ve been on tirz 2.5mg for 3 weeks and the fatigue is killing me! I feel so fatigued on days 2-3 after my jab each week it reminds me of having covid. I assume it’s likely to improve and I’m not going to keep feeling ill for 2 days every week!

(For reference I’m taking electrolytes, magnesium and melatonin, and on a 500 cal deficit. I don’t think it’s low food intake as I’ve dieted for 5+ months before at similar calories and never felt fatigue)

I feel like when I increased protein it helped with fatigue.

I had it pretty bad between 7.5 and 12.5

You are not yet a therapeutic levels, you will likely adjust as you get into your 8-9th week

I have been on Tirz since late March, for the most part you will get over it in the coming weeks but make sure you are staying Hydrated, that was huge for me. I started using a lot more Liquid IV packs after starting and it has been a lifesaver. Something with healthy with a bit of sugar/natural sugar will also help.

I'm just coming into week 6 (4mg) and I am still experiencing fatigue, and now some nausea to boot (yay!).

Agree that hydration is key (more recently I'm forgetting to drink... not good I know) as when I improve my hydration these symptoms seem to settle down a bit.

How hungry are you? If you are not hungry and having no difficultly sticking to your calorie deficit, then dropping the dose might be a good idea, even below the standard start dose. And see if it helps, and then increase super slowly. If you were on a huge calorie deficit or had lost a lot of weight , that might be to blame for fatigue but this early sounds more like the drug.

I assume the fatigue is likely coming from the bit in the brain that relates to the nausea and malaise or illness response, ( via GLP-1 receptors ) usually this is less of an issue with tirz compared to semaglutide, but side effects to these drugs are very variable and individual.

I had something similar from ozempic , but it felt more like being mildly ill rather than just tired, I could not really stop it as it was making me less hungry and I was trying to keep off 70kg I had lost, despite a lot of fiddling with tiny 2nd day doses , it never really went away until I stopped it and swapped to tirz. But most people find nausea and tiredness side effects gradually get better over months.

Another poster already mentioned hydration but I cannot put into words how much better hydration has helped. Sometimes if youre dehydrated you might have odd symptoms that dont make sense. I went from about 60 ounces a day to 100 ounces this week and the change has been notable. I do have some swelling from all the water but I feel better than I have In a month. Give more hydration go.
