Doctor prescribed zepbound on November of 2024 and it worked great, was eating super clean and going to the gym 5/6 days a week, and went from 360lbs to 196lbs, but roughly in August of 2025, my insurance stopped covering Zepbound and had to switch to wegovy, and my body was not reacting the same to wegovy, food noises were coming back, etc and at the end of 2025 my insurance stopped covering all glp’s so my doctor started my tempering off plan, I’m 2 shorts away but I’m back to 230lbs. When I finish these last 2 shots of wegovy I want to go back to to Tirz.

Thank you in advance

I've been on Tirz (grey) and I love it. Oddly enough, my insurance has approved me for Zepbound and here I sit with 2 years worth of Tirz in my freezer, lol. I'll just hang on to it and know it will always be there if I get dropped in the future. It has been working great for me. Honestly, I could have afforded compound or even Lilly direct, but I prefer grey market and reconstituting my own products.

Welcome. Then getting back on a glp is an emergency for you! Do your research and find a source as soon as possible!

Good luck!

Don’t give up. My insurance was only $28 for 3 months of Zepbound or Wegovy. My doctor was zero help on pushing back. I let them shift me to Wegovy and waited a month. By that time my daily body composition log from Withings scale showed a clear picture. A nice steady fall in weight on Zep and a total stall on Wegovy.

I took all of that info, including prior apnea and afib diagnosis, over to one of the online appeals service. For a very small fee ( < 2 pounds of Starbucks) it generated a massive appeal and sent it to my insurance and drug plan administrators.

I got a prompt rejection.

I went back, uploaded the rejection, and used the free 2nd appeal. The stack of documents it churned out was insane. That was sent by the service to the entire universe…. Insurance, plan admin, work HR plan admin, and even state and federal agencies concerned with insurance, health and attorney general.

Within a week I received a notice from my insurance that they were required to go to arbitration.

The next day I received a massive document from the arbitration firm stating that the insurance company was wrong and their decision must be reversed.

Two weeks later I received notice from the insurance company that they would be extending my authorization for another year.

I had 3 months of Zepbound the very next day.

Soooooo run the math. If insurance is cheaper, you may want to try a structured appeal service.

I was on Zepbound for 1 year, lost 100lb then CVS kicked me to Wegovy. Lost another 10lb. Went compound trizepatide for a few months now and lost about 5lb and am at target weight. Just placed my first grey order of trizepatide based on what i learned on this site. So excited to save a ton of money.

I feel trizepatide was better than wegovy but hard to say where I was at in my weight loss journey.

Started T60 last Thursday at the initial 2.5mg dose but still have 1 Wegovy 0.25mg pen left, is it ok for me to use it today?
