Started at 330 at 51yo, xxxl omw to 4xl, size 42 pants, everything fucking hurt every day. I was physically weak and would just go places and look for a couch to plop down in.

As of this morning i am 247, with 47 more to lose. My xxl shirts are starting to swim on me, my 38 waist size the pants arent even snug, 20 more pounds will be at 36.

Have taken over exercise at a couple of senior living buildings i manage departments in and now lead strengrh and balance 2x a week, bands and balls 2x a week, and an additional.strength and stretch class 3x a week, all well attended.
So 7 exercises classes a week plus i work out at home.

People are so much nicer to me, im getting noticed again where when i was a slob looking fat dude i was often over looked. Bought myself an electric bike and been riding that thing all over the place when its not to rainy and cold, plan to ride it to work starting in spring.

Just feel effing amazing these days. I had thought my best years were over, but now realizing rheyve just begun!!!!

All in less than a 6 month journey so far.
Weighed in this morning at 83 pounds down and just over the moon about it!!!

This is awesome to read. We’re actually really close in weight right now. I started at 325 and I’m down to 245, with a goal of hitting 200 as well. I began working out in November 2024. At first, I didn’t change my diet much, but I was training hard and lost a little weight. In January, I cut out all Diet Cokes and switched to a healthier way of eating, and that’s when the pounds really started coming off. I’ll admit I usually enjoy stepping on the scale… MOST of the time!

I’ve done a ton of research on peptides and started with 1mg of Reta. The weight has continued to drop, and the food noise is gone. People at the gym are constantly commenting on how much better I look, and my wife and kids say the same. Reading posts like yours and others has been incredibly motivating and makes this journey feel a lot easier.

Congratulations to both of us we’ll be hitting 200 pounds sooner rather than later! 💪🔥

Great job! Very similar stats as you. I am 51, started at 325 pounds back in June and now down to 250. 3x was fitting tight and I am now wearing 1x clothing. There are little things that you notice now, but never realized like being able to tie your shoes with your feet in front of you and not off to the side. I know that seems trivial, but I smiled when I first noticed it. Keep up the good work. Here's to many healthy years ahead.

Hell yeah, brother!
Reading your story just put a massive grin on my face 83 pounds down in under 6 months at 51? That's straight-up inspiring as hell. Rocking XXL shirts that swim on you, 38s getting loose, and cruising on an e-bike? You're crushing it! Love that you're not just dropping the weight you're owning the energy, People being nicer? Yeah, the world treats fit, confident energy different, but you earned every bit of that. And realizing your best years are just starting? That's the real win. age is just a number when you're moving like this.

Wow! Thats amazing progress!

Congrats
I can definitely identify with the start bit. Everything hurting. I was too horrified to actually weigh myself for the first few months and at the start some of the size 7xl clothes I had were too small and there were no bigger sizes, and I just went on clothes sizes going down slowly through the xls before I finally weighed myself at 2xl and 115kg.

WTG friend. This post highlights what I’m telling others about GLPs. Poking yourself weekly isn’t a magic pill. You have to invest yourself in the process. Food, activity, lifestyle, commitment all play a crucial role in this game changing journey. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations on all of your success! I love how these victories compound into more, nothing like seeing results to keep you on the right path.

It is awesome to hear these stories.

Dang! I haven't had a chance to get back to this thread, posted it in a hurry at that 247.2 weigh-in.

And not a lot of time this morning either, but let me just say thank you to the group. Thank you! Its been quite the journey from Reddit to compounded, to GLP1 form to gray.

Heres what ive done. I stack Tirz and Reta twice a week. 7mg Tirz Friday Morning, 5mg Reta on Mon mornings.
500mcg of wolverine blend 2x a day to heal old injuries i swear its helped me substantially. Cycle is on hold though because i have gall bladder surgery on the 9th. The massive weight loss completely took out my apparently already failing gall bladder and its functioning at less than 4 percent.

I quit dairy altogether because of this a few months ago besides very occasional.cheese or ic. Used to drink and eat a LPT of dairy, thought id miss it, i dont. Used to eat a LOT of sugar, cakes, pies, chocolate. Easily avoid those things now.

My skin used to be terrible, blackheads, occasional zits on my forehead nose and cheeks, even my chest and back. No longer, all those area are co.pletely clear of blackheads or pimples..

My blood pressure sent me to the er twice in the last few years, one time going as high as 192 over like 130 or 140 or something ridivulous high like that and was regularly high. My surgeons office a week ago it came in at 116 over 60 or something reidiculously almost to low and i almost hit the floor with my lower jaw. I do take a high dose of losartan, and maybe need to regulaly check bp again because i might be able to get off it now.

All that and TON of exercise, at work instead of chaining up.to my desk, i walk the community and lead several activities aside from exercise, ( activity director ina giant senior community ) getting 7 to 12k steps a day regularly and more when we do large events.

Hey! Just want to thank you all, this journey has changed my life, and the positives are to many to even mention here. Didnt expect all the positive feedback on this thread, just wanted to share my success!!! Time to go.to work!!! Catch you in the glp1 forum bitches!!!!

Oh, and just as an aside, every time I start to plateau after a week, if my weight is the same a week later... I fast. I take an LMNT drink stick at 18 hours in ( usually thats around noon the next day) and fast for 24 to 40, 42, 46 or 48 hours. Every single time I've done that, I lose weight that doesnt come back. Its kept me on a road where I continue to lose every week.

I had to throw that in because, if you go into a calorie deficit, your body will burn fat, and if you do it for 24 to 48 hours, your burning SERIOUS fat at that point.

Nice!

I was just reading about how all the original fasting studies were done on men, though. Women get mostly negative effects from fasting.

SO awesome!!!! Good for you!

24 - 48 hr fasts can be beneficial for women because they don't trigger the same catabolic response as intermittent fasting or calorie restricted diets. Especially for women with higher body fat percentages, or who have PCOS or hormonal issues, but they have to be done sparingly. Once every 2 - 3 weeks or the body will adapt and change your BMR. Leaner women who train hard will definitely want to avoid any type of fasting because it will raise Cortisol levels and cause hormonal issues.
