I've noticed that it's a lot harder to eat junk/highly processed food these days after being on Reta for ~2.5 months. I've lost about ~40lbs so far. Been going to the gym 6 days a week and doing cardio about 4-5 days as well. I'm on 6mg a week in a single dose E5D and been on this dose for ~5-6 weeks after going from 2mg -> 4mg and then 6mg. Also in a constant caloric deficit but making sure I hit at least ~200g of protein a day.

I used to be able to crush a bag of chips or a pack of gummy bears with ease. But these days, it's lot harder to eat anything like that. For example, had pizza for the first time in ~2 months when I had a few friends over. Put down two slices without any issues and still felt hungry. However when I had a third slice, it took all my might and concentration not to blow chunks. Wife said the same thing happened to her. She could only eat ~2 slices and that was game over.

The strange part is though, I can eat a lot more when it's clean food. Couple slices of baked fish with some sweet potatoes? No problems. Chicken breasts with some salad, rice etc.. No problems. Grab ~5-6 gummy bears and instantly feel full/like shit. Maybe it's because those foods are high in calories. So technically you're putting a lot more calories in your body compared to the cleaner food.

Similar situation with beer. I'm was a big beer guy and cut alcohol out when I started working out/taking Reta. If it's a light beer like an Ultra, I can manage to drink ~2 cans. But those heavy stouts that I used to love, I would be lucky if I can put one down in ~1hr. Takes me a while. I used to be able to drink ~4-5 of those within an hour.

Either way, I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing something similar to where it's really hard to eat shit food in general. I dread going to places where it's all fried these days if we're going out as a group. Can't do it anymore.

I've been on Reta for 17 days (2mg per week) and I also noticed that I'm making healthier food choices. I no longer crave anything specifically when I'm hungry so I gravitate towards healthier food.

I wonder if non-fat people feel like this for free...

Your weight loss is four pounds a week?

Yeah, the effect of greasy, high fat and highly processed foods are amplified on GLP-1s. It’s a lot of the reason it works so well.

Ya, about ~4lbs a week which is pretty wild. I used to be in really good shape in ~2018. Bodybuilding/eating well etc.. Then life hit/got lazy ~2020 after having our first child and the weight packed on quickly. Haven't been doing anything to crazy. Just hitting the gym 6 times a week following Reddit's Push/Pull/Legs workout program, stopped drinking and just eating healthier now.

Makes 100% re: highly processes food being amplified by GLP-1s. Can definitely tell. It wasn't as bad at the beginning but in the last ~2 weeks, could tell my body can't consume that type of food in large quantities. Just makes me feel really sick.
