When I think about the history of the medical education system and how it was co-opted by petroleum companies to push pharmaceuticals I get so damn mad. Corporate interests took over one of the most trusted professions of human history. It’s hard to say who in the tribe was most revered, the leader, or the shaman. Now we have people graduating medical school with limited education on how to actually HEAL the body, everything is all about a pill for every ill. Not the young doctors fault, they study their asses off, get destroyed during residency with grueling working hours. They have to contend with a population that is LITERALLY POISONED every single day from our food, air and water. So it’s no wonder really that our medical system is failing.
What I love about this group, we those who fight for wellness, warriors for health, we are not content to live a life of half measure, we want the fullness of health and seek it with vigor. While the vast majority of people blindly follow the dictates of the state, dutifully eating the trash they call food, blithely ignoring their own bodies degradation, we seek improvement, strive to be better today than we were yesterday. Health care failed us, but we won’t fail ourselves. Know that you all are out here with me makes me feel less alone. Thank you to YOU. You are all an inspiration.

We need to look out for ourselves, because the list of people looking out for us is awfully short and includes damn few people from important categories like cops, politicians, journalists, and CEOs. Even people who start with good intentions can get ruined by the systems they work within. Almost no one is immune to being steeped in institutional corruption.

Amen. I've said it before and I'll say it again here, I like being my own doctor and doing what's best for me. Unlikely to go back to the old approach.

What on earth are you going on about? This website is nearly entirely devoted to pharmaceutical products--we want what we want when we want 'em, at $5 a week. And regarding nutritional information, it's pretty much eat/protein/water/fiber here.

It's not about the odious "wellness" industrial complex. Elsewhere for that.
