What brings me here? I've been reading the forum for just under a year. I registered because of a recent change, I could no longer see attachments on posts, unless registered. I had been reading and researching, I found all my questions answered, and never need to post, So never signed up. And I probably won't ever post much, besides this, if the forum continues with the great people that are here. So I will say thank you so much, this place has helped me on my tirzepitide journey.
A year ago I became per-diabetic. Doctor suggested Mounjaro, got insurance pre-auth, but could not find a place that could fill it. Used an compounder to start, for the first weeks, and eventually I could get the Rx filled. So was on the Lilly brand for a number of months, until last January, when insurance said they would no longer cover it. Back to compounding and ordered 6 months of compounded tirz. But by now my dosage was 15mg/week, and this compounder has a max of 10mg/ml, so the weekly volume is 150 units. Tired of two syringes a week, I decided to go gray, to boost the concentration of the compounded. Basically I wanted to double the amount of tirz in each vial, to cut the volume in half, and it would also extend its use by 6 months as well. I used a number of resources, including this forum to find a place I was comfortable with. As there were two main risks, health and financial. For health: the product could not be sterile, or it could have no API in it, under dosed, or worse, but unlikely, over dosed. For financial: vendor could be a scam, or under dose per cost. Finally settled on one, which has worked well, and now don't have to worry about getting more until January. You guys helped to make this happen, so thanks again.
