hello. first question

For me, one of the main things is that they're likely endangering themselves by going off with a few surface-level answers. I want no part of their self-harm.

They also pollute the search results when others look for answers and there are 50 threads on the same topic, each with five posts. Not conducive to deep understanding.

Just dont want to waste my time with someone that would rather ask questions about the basics than read about them.
I dont momd helping. But lots of these new fuckers come in here like they are owed something.

They aren't owed shit. If they are nice and follow the culture of the board they'll come out ahead, if they dont, well 👋

And the culture seems to be: research research research and THEN if you are stuck ask for help.
You go to any narrow/specific interest forums on the interwebs and you will find a core membership of XYZ% that interact, exchange information, and build a community amongst themselves...Then there is the continuous flow of peripheral new users who parachute in from out of nowhere, flail arms, demand basic information and evaporate from the site as quickly as they appeared never to be seen again...this site is no different...GLPs are a popular subject right now in web searches. A lot of those searches lead here. As has been said in many posts, most of us would gladly help a new member on a genuine health journey...That said, we also need to understand that the vetting process with these casual newcomers can serve a purpose of sorting out likeminded people wanting information on health from people on a whole different mission...is what it is...

So don't reply. Just scroll by.

Dang y'all are rough on mostly the new people. It cost not one cent to be nice!
I remember the analogy of showing someone how to put on a parachute but not how to jump.

This is not a safe hobby for someone who doesn't make a lot of effort.
It is generally why people like to see new comers do a little homework before letting them just see our test answers on the quiz.

Seems like most were nice to OP, just not necessarily the way he wanted.

It is really a pretty helpful community and I have definitely seen worse.

Lol!

Didnt you say there is one person you cant stand but dont block?! Be honest, is it me???? 😅🤣😂🤣😅🤣🤣😂
you're doing that thing again where you can't tell the difference between women. I block mfers just cause it's Tuesday. I blocked @BNLFL cause a bit demanded it. I blocked @Calm Logic cause his info was costing me too much money. Sometimes, I pull up the member list, pick a letter at random, type it in, and block the first person that pops up, just so I can feel something again.

I actually UNblocked a long timer that I blocked my first week here, because I hadn't heard anyone reference him in a long time, and found out he rage-flounced months ago. That was kind of fun.

Hell, that's not only true of these fast talking newcomers, but also of people that I know in the walking around world...I have said to more than one person that I interacted with about GLPs when they said, "I will just buy my GLPs from you"...ABSOLUTLY FUCKING NOT!...If you are not willing to go through all the curves; sourcing, testing, crypto, equipment, reconning...then there are plenty of less stressful avenues available to get GLPs...

...again...your newsletter...I will pay for both postage and a subscription fee...

That is soooooo awesome!!! No words!!!!

And to give him credit, he has been very gracious in subsequent posts.
Welcome to OP and sorry the first post has been a rough go. I think you'll do ok here. (Partially some bad timing)

Like the brand new ones hounding for TG and GB info. I was getting hammered for a while. I can tell why they joined. It also those same with some of the brand new ones giving advise, and bad advise. They haven't read a thing outside of Reddit, and then argue with you when you correct them.

I turned off my DMs when the more entitled ones started getting angry, like when I suggested "make friends on TG first" to the ones that were link begging.

And then with the reta bros, a good percentage of them will just take whatever money they save and start buying steroids or other controlled substances. So from grey market to black market overnight.

I won't even mention GBs by initials anymore. It's all on TG. And it really pays off to have peptide friends on TG, for all kinds of reasons. Eventually, the deals come to you through your peptide friends.

I went back and edited any instance of me mentioning a gb and asked the mods to pull one of my comments because I logged on to eight people, some of whom I didn't know, asking for links to them. Now I just don't respond to DM's with questions unless it's someone I know and like. (and if I DO know you and you've DM'd me a question, please don't assume it's because I don't like you, I just get a lot of em and sometimes miss one from someone I'm friendly with.)

It would be nice if we could fine tune our DMs for friends we knew were not link begging.
I sent out a few DMs last night to long time members inquiring about a couple of staid old timers who have disappeared.

I have found a lot of what I wanted by combing through old old posts on here, and I appreciated the details you posted over time.

I participate in a forum and buy from a vendor which has a nerdy, tricky learning curve, all from info I deduced by searching here. That info is here for those patient enough to look for it.

I mean hell, he wanted "a dialogue" and he got his very own megathread chock-full of long timers, cat content, a clip from Friday, multiple squabbles, a debate on the philosophy of thread posting, a discussion on the finer points of self-led adult learning, and a fair amount of grey cultural history. Nobody could ask for more.

I miss @nonyabizznez , who comes and goes for long periods of time, but you can summon @chmuse by necroing an old thread sometimes.

Just last week I had 2 people ask me to buy tirz for them, AFTER I had already sent them here. Either they came here and gave up after they saw it would take some effort to find the information they wanted, or they didn't even bother to type in an easy-to-remember web address.

These were friends of my mom and husband. I am NOT about to waste my time and energy organizing IRL group buys for people I've met twice who can't even be bothered to put in a small amount of effort themselves. Not to mention the legal liability.

Honestly, I think I'm going to stop sending people here altogether. I searched online and got here on my own after a while. If people aren't even motivated enough to do that, then they probably aren't motivated enough to put in the effort once they get here.

I'm also going to tell my mom and husband to quit blabbing to everyone about how cheap they get their GLPs for.

I think the issue is: the number of questions.
It reads like:
I am going to make one post with all my questions and hope someone did all the research and will answer each and everything I have. It comes across poorly.

Almost 100% of these posts by people who have given nothing to the community and ask for too much become controversial.

I would recommend engaging with smaller asks...
So much this!!! OP really got a nice initial thread, hope he takes it to heart. I wouldnt know since hes ignored now 😆
