I have struggled with my weight for my entire life. I have tried so many times, healthy and unhealthy with only mild success, usually when it came down to severe restriction that we all know is unsustainable. I have a family history of diabetes and show many symptoms of PCOS/insulin resistance that for some reason by PCP has not helped me investigate further. A very frustrating cycle. My GLP-1 journey started in late 2021 when I found a clinic and started learning about wegovy. I tapered up until I was on the max dose and did see a few pounds drop but experienced horrible GI side effects, yet the clinic nurse encouraged me to keep going up in dose to stay “on schedule”. I was on Wegovy for about a year and then I switched jobs and my insurance coverage changed and I no longer had access to weight loss medications of ANY kind. I pleaded with my insurance company and already had the prescription from my PCP to switch to Mounjaro fall 2022 (when I still had my previous employers insurance and the new one) and I was able to get one month of mounjaro and had amazing results. Just in the food noise alone and NO GI side effects.

Well, that month showed me how great tirzepatide was and then i promptly lost access to it. I discussed my options with my doctor and she suggested rybelsus. We were somehow able to get a PA and it was still incredibly expensive but i did try that for many months, still with the horrible side effects. I gave up at this point. It was obvious semaglutide was doing more harm than good for me.

In the last 6 months I had been doing lots of research into peptides, perusing forums when I stumbled across the use of the grey market. After reading lots of experiences and checking out various forums, I finally made my first purchase from a US supplier and got myself back on Tirz and started a very low dose of Reta a month later. The plan is to keep myself on lower doses of both of these as long as possible to avoid side effects and if it’s working, it’s working! I have only increased my tirz from 2mg to 2.5 in the last 3 months and stacking with 1-1.5 Reta the last 2 months. I’ve been having amazing results, it feels so good to finally see some progress, but the deeper I dig, I’m finding (like I know everyone else is and how we’ve ended up here) that while those prices are much better than direct, it’s still an insane markup.

I have also experimented with selank for anxiety and interested in others like BPC-157 (as I had a mensicectomy last year and still feel there’s some recovery to do), as well as Cag, MOTS-C, AOD and those alike.

I’m here to continue my research into these peptides and taking my own health and treatment into my hands and continue my weight loss journey in a responsible , affordable, and sustainable way.

I’d also like to add that I know the climate of things are a bit uncomfortable right now, with the explicit and open sharing of information on too public platforms and I want to share the sentiment that I am committed to discretion and respect of this forum and the peptide community.

Happy to be here and share experiences alike!
