Hi everyone! I have been on compounded semaglutide since February and lost about 30 lbs, wildly successful for me as I've been unable to turn off the food noise for so long. My PCP actually prescribed me the compounded to start but sadly, they stopped it as of this month due to the shortage removal and all.

So I have been following the breadcrumbs to figure out a solution for myself because all my PCP could tell me was to move over to Wegovy. I absolutely cannot afford over $200 a month for this medicine and my insurance will not cover anything. I found resources for mixing your own and now I'm digging deeper! I hope to learn a lot more from everyone here and be able to continue my weight loss journey since this is the first thing that's worked for me. I feel so much better than i have in years and I don't want to go back. My blood pressure is more controlled and my leg/feet swelling has completely gone away.

I have a month left of my compounded meds, and then i have bought the peptide to mix my first vial after that. I'm incredibly nervous and I hope it's not going to hurt me, but I'm not ready to give up my progress. And it's another reason I'm here, just to learn more from others doing the same! Nice to meet you all!

Welcome and congrats on the 30lbs weight loss!! It’s totally normal to be nervous and unsure, but looks like you’re doing exactly what you need to do by being motivated and taking your time to learn. It’s a great community and I’ve learned so much in the few months I’ve been here too. We’re all rooting for each other 🤗

Being nervous is a good thing, sadly too many people avoid that emotion to fulfill the need to continue the journey.
I read for 2 months before my first purchase of anything other than compound. I then read for another month about the vendor and the tests before pinning-
Everyone is different, you find your comfort level.
It takes many years to be a doctor, you can't expect to become your own in a few days.

Welcome! 🙂

For sure!!! I investigated things for a while prior to mine being cut off because I knew the shortage was being called off. So just gut feeling, i was like...I should maybe read more into this stuff because it sounds like I won't have compounded forever. I made a purchase probably after a couple month of investigating that side of things. Hopefully it will still be good when i get to it in a month! xD

Congratulations to your health! Don't worry, just take your time and research and use a peptide calculator. You will do great👍
Welcome!
