Visting here from Seattle, WA. About a year ago, I spent several months trying to get into a Retatrutide study. But, alas my kidneys were not sick enough to be able to join. Thank goodness actually.... who wants to have sick kidneys? And, because I don't have Diabetes they just don't have any room around here for me in there GLP studies. So, I took it upon myself and dipped into the grey semaglutide research stuff. I took different amounts weekly for approx. 8 months. I lost 30 lbs at the beginning, and reached the max dose, stayed there for awhile and never lost anymore.... BMI is still morbidly obese. So, I stopped taking sema and still maintained my weight for awhile.... then all of a sudden 10 pounds came back on quite suddenly.

Tried again to get into another Retatrutide study, and found myself number 42 on a wait list, and was told they will never get to my number.... the bascially everyone that is in the study here at the current location would have to drop out before they would call me.... so, I bought some research Retatrutide and started taking it weekly a few weeks back. While I have stopped gaining again, I have not lost anymore, but so far I am on a low dose trying to slowly get to one that might work.

I found this group, and am so excited for the help, and support. My most important takeaways recently:
1. I have only used single vial us vendors. Didn't even realize that there was another way to go. Wow, and I thought I was saving so much money not buying wegovy perscription through pharmacy that my insurance won't cover.
2. The BAC water that I have been using through Amazon, yeah, maybe I need to find a source of Hospira.

Well thanks for all the learning, help, and love. Hugs, Arinsgarden

Finally remember #3: and, one that I found important. Usually the bottles are overfilled. So, that carefully measured dose your taking is not the amount you think your taking. I now realized that I was taking way too much semiglutide.

Welcome and it sounds like you have learned some very important lessons quickly! Just wanted to say hey as I am escaping the New Orleans heat and am out in Seattle for the summer. Second best decision after getting on GLPs

Welcome! I recently made the switch from single vial US vendors as well and it can be pretty overwhelming with all of the info. This forum has been super helpful so far just from reading the older threads.

Semaglutide did the same to me also. I lost like 40lbs and gained 20back. Didn’t want to up the dose more because the side effects were getting bad. So I switched to Reta and have been on it for 3weeks. So far so good but we shall see.

What sides did you get with sema that you aren't seeing with reta?

Short term memory issues like a lot of brain farts, acid reflux and real bad anxiety. Going down on the dosage helped but since I have quit taking the sema my anxiety and memory issues have improved significantly. Still have some reflux though.

WELCOME to an awesome group. 😎

Some time has passed now so maybe I could add new information about my experience unbiasedly more now. Honestly, I am starting to have the same problems on Reta that I had on Sema. Belching, acid reflux, lots of watery number 2, and extreme exhaustion. But, the stomach pain is much less. However, I have only reached 4mg a week, and I still haven't lost any weight yet since switching to Reta. I am still going to work on slowly raising the dose and seeing if I can get some results.... Anyway, if it helps my liver issues at all it still would be worth it. And, like I said the stomach pain is gone.

Do you get belching and acid reflux after certain foods or all the time?

I am on reta and just started it two weeks ago. I am still taking 0.5mg as I can tell the power of reta and how it has changed my digestion and bowel habits. I am going to have to up my water intake significantly and I already take extra strength colace (250mg) BID for years now due to chronic digestive issues since I was a kid.

Just make sure you pay attention the food you are eating when you experience the GERD and other symptoms. It may be as simple as some dietary changes that can 180 these symptoms.
