Help a hypochondriac out with taking the leap

Hey all, brand new to the forum and have already learned A TON so thank you all for your contributions! My rats are on their first week of Reta (1.75mg) and have had good results so far, as much as you can expect to see in a week. Since I am new and not everyone will go and check my intro, here's a little background on my rats. They are very fit, active, healthy but have acquired a bit of fluff over COVID that they have not been able to get rid of. The first dose I got them was from a reputable US distributor (a reseller) that, like most, mark up their peptides easily over 100%. For a single 10mg vial, I am paying what I could pay for a whole kit from vendors here. The benefit of that is that it comes with copious amounts of sterility testing, COAS, control batch info, etc. for my rats which gives me peace of mind. However, I cannot continue to afford their prices which leads me here. At the rate I am losing weight with combined activity level, I foresee my rats on a one month workup, a two-three month middle period and then a on month tapering off. With the price that some of the vendors offer, I can absolutely afford that and will probably need exactly 10 10mg vials for my rats. I have a problem though... I am a hyperchondriac. Not just a run of the mill "Oh I hope this isn't ____" but a clinically diagnosed hypochondriac. One thing I really worry about buying directly from suppliers in China is concerns about sterility and overall health implications for my rats of... Well.... Buying from China. I know that most of the US distr are also buying from China and reselling but I can't get over the worry of it going awry and getting my rats sick. I think I found a supplier based on info on these forums that I am 90% comfortable with but cannot find any sterility testing on them, just purity. I know this always comes with risk but can you all help me get over the remaining 10% of hesitancy? Thank you!

This is not pharma, so no one can give you a guarantee, because it doesn't exist.

I would say, if you do your proper research, we have threads on vendor discussions, get from vendors with a LOT of followers, like at least 4-5 k, who have good reviews, who are not brand new on the scene (I can't believe how many new show up, I would never buy from them) and who at least show some testing initiative (nobody really knows if it's reliable or the kit you get is the tested one), if you filter, then you can be as safe as possible. (probably more, just on top of my head). Oh, and maybe join a testing group.

But very rarely anything happens, and when it does, everything blows up, and people quickly share.
Sometimes vials are mixed with other peps, or no peps at all. But it's rare.

But you already bought from reseller, so the jump can't be too big. It's the same stuff. Maybe even the same factory, a lot of them have the same vial tops, lol. ;-)

I also think about the same things. I believe that by doing your research on the vendor and the feedback on this site you will get a level of satisfaction. That what happened to me. Good luck with your research.

There’s enough resources here to vet a vendor fairly well. And like others have said, if something goes wrong with one, people know about it pretty quick. I see complaints of shipping issues and people getting scammed by fake vendors pretending to be the real ones, but I don’t see bad product posts often. I haven’t been here long but I’ve been browsing and looking at a lot every day. I haven’t even seen a bad product report that was recent. So it does seem to be rare.

If you do your best to vet a vendor, but you still aren’t comfortable, gray might just not be for you. So you either gotta write it off or spend the extra money to get it properly tested.
