I’m glad I found this forum, I’ve learned so much the last few days reading a ton. Finally just joined although I’m not sure how much I’ll post. I’m a hardcore lurker.

I haven’t started yet- my first order of tirz is in the mail and I plan to start next Monday. I ordered from a site my co worker uses and it was spendy and I think I’ve found some others I’ll consider for the next order by reading on here.

My goal is definitely weight loss.. I’d like to lose probably 50lb. But I’ve also read about tirz having other health benefits including helping inflammation. I’m excited to see how my life can change.

But I am nervous about side effects, mainly anxiety. I suffer from bad anxiety already so I don’t need more. Planning to start with a low dose, thinking 2mg and see how it goes.

Anyways thanks for having me!

WELCOME!

Tirz should help anxiety, if anything, over the long-term. My anxiety is less.

Cool! I like the sound of that. I’m going to think positive.

I’ve just seen a lot of posts especially on Reddit of people saying they have crazy anxiety/high heart rate their first week and then totally fine after that and maybe even better than before. So I guess it’s just a first dose thing and then you adjust maybe. I know everyone is different too

Welcome. I had a really good experience with Tirz starting at 2.5. Some of the initial side effects were a little bit disconcerting, but they went away after a couple weeks. Started my wife on 2mg for that reason and she had only the mildest side effects. If you are worried about sides, starting at 2 is very reasonable.

Also be aware the medication builds up in your body over the course of a few weeks, so you could have side effects that only start after week 2, even if on the same dose.

Side effects for me were headache, sleepiness and eye irritation… all manageable. Increased hydration, popped a Claritin and all was good.

The positive effects were much much much more significant than the side effects.

I had plenty of side effects the first couple of months on tirz, but anxiety was not one of them. And the sides I did have--significant fatigue, moderate constipation, and mild nausea--were worth the benefits. You can start off your tirz journey taking 1mg. You might see benefits without any real side effects. If not, you can also go up slowly from there.

Welcome. I've been on tirz for 3 months. No side effects except constipation which is easy to combat with additional hydration and miralax if needed. My anxiety has lessened because I'm feeling better about me!
25ish lbs down, 90 to go. Stay strong. You can do this!
