I think it's really strange that people on tk are easy swayed by influencers. But what's responsible for the health should always ask a doctor or someone who know medical knowledge for medication advice. Not those influencers who have just used peptides to lose weight for once or twice😅 It just comfuses me, i'd rather believe on my own instead of those stupid online sales, All their statements are commercially motivated, designed to drive sales and lead people to their company.

Exactly! I'd rather trust a doctor than someone chasing views or sales.

A vast majority are lazy and just want to be told what to do.
The ideal customer.

I found out about SRY by DMing someone on Reddit. Found this forum while researching SRY.

I could see how if I was in a rush or less motivated, I could have settled for a single-vial vendor. But at those prices, I would have stuck with compounding pharmacies.

Why people believe "influencer"....., in short, my humble opionion, critical thinking is lacking in recent years, for varied reasons. Devolution is upon us.

1. People are incredibly, and I mean INCREDIBLY stupid. Stupid meaning uneducated, and stupid meaning indoctrinated by most education systems to simply do as they're told, and to truct experts without asking questions.

2. As a result of said indoctrination, people are also incredibly lazy, and do not know how to collect and source information, nor are they armed with critical thinking skills to disseminate and assign values to any information they happen to trip over.

3. Doctors(in the US) are taught 50 year old medicinal knowledge and practices throughout medical school, go through relatively little CEU reqs, and are bought and paid for by Pharma companies that need people fat, sick, and on as many prescriptions as possible.

The vast majority of my nutritional, training, medical, and pharmacological knowledge(beyond the very basic basics) came from reading studies critically, consuming YT content, often from people who were not medical professionals, and from my own trial and error on my own body.

Peptide companies, drug dealers, etc. are all equally motivated to misinform you in favor of their products as doctors, the government, and Pharma reps are. These kinds of hobbies are not for the average person who spends a great deal of time on apps like TikTok.

But what do I know, Im not a doctor 😀

1000 likes. I have a new PA right out of school. My labs came back low on magnesium. Labs again in 6 weeks. Prescribes supplement. Labs in 6 weeks still low. Labs again in 6 weeks still low. He tried again and I said your not changing anything just repeating labwork that they charge 1200 then I'm charged 300.... I said the max dose diuretic I'm on has me pissing literally 30 times in 4 hours. Why don't we cut that in half and change the magnesium oxide to something more absorbable. PROBLEM SOLVED. He scheduled me for follow up and a physical 3 months later and again I had to explain twice I am a cdl holder and get an extensive physical every 2 years, last one 4 months ago, keep ur finger outta my ass.

Ive never met a GP that understands the difference between health and bloodwork reference ranges. Or a nurse for that matter.

finding a doc on my insurance plan that understands how my thyroid works and what an optimal Free/total T3 looks like has been impossible. I dont have time to go to 15 different specialists until I find someone who reads actual scientific literature, so I'll just medicate myself.

I hear you. All my thyroid levels are absolute lowest rung on the ladder ( tsh, t3, t4, t3 uptake and etc...) but because it makes the normal range there can be no discussion. I've felt lethargic/catatonic since 18 unless I'm forced to do something. Even on 500mg of test I never felt all focused, energetic and Godlike. Any pill I ever took made me feel nothing as far as energy. Fat line of crystal was the only exception but that was 15 years ago.

A while ago, I had trouble sleeping, and someone on Reddit said taking vitamin B could help you sleep better. I bought a bottle of vitamin B complex, but I didn’t have the courage to try it—I heard it could turn your skin yellowish. So, I decided to stick to falling asleep naturally. Now, I go to bed at 10 p.m. every day. The next step is to improve my sleep quality, since I dream every night. They also said that taking vitamin D can make you more energetic and vibrant. I bought some, but I haven’t taken it yet.

Some doctors suck. I’m all for taking control of your own health. But self education is so important. Just randomly injecting something to hope you lose weight is crazy.
Yes We need to stick on our judgement. Maybe that is the key of critical thinking education.

That's how I started. Best physical shape of my life.
Similar to me. Diagnosed with an incurable disease

Coming from Norway where it’s dark half the year, most people take vitamin D supplements. You can have some really nasty long term side effects of low B and D vitamins. I’m not saying you should definitely be taking those supplements but please take care of your health. 🙏

Which brand you choose? I don't want those weak vitamin D gummies from the supermarket. I need the real medical-grade stuff. But honestly, can vitamin D even help you grow taller at all?

If you ask a doctor, the doctor will probably advise against taking GLP-1 drugs other than when purchased from a licensed pharmacy pursuant to a prescription. I worry that if I were to tell my doctor that I’m taking Reta in addition to the Zepbound that he prescribes that he would stop prescribing the Zepbound or demand that I stop taking Reta. I know my endocrinologist had a low opinion of compounded tirzepatide. He did, however, fight successfully with the pharmacy benefit manager to get the Zepbound covered.

Weird my liver specialist was like check with ur insurance there's some amazing glp1's out there. Insurance says Die in Place and I said maybe I can afford compounding.... Oh No! That's not recommended at all. You'll build a quick tolerance and nothing will work after that. THEY ALL PROTECT PHARMA. Funding to the med schools and Pfizer education grants pave the way. U don't accept P Diddy financing your life style and then refuse to participate in Freak Offs. You say throw that molly over here and im fixin to fuck everyone.

They watched some influencer's video and couldn't even get a damn thyroid test before jabbing GLP-1. Now they're miserable on peptides? Wow, surprise... NOT.
My doctor didn't give me a thyroid test before starting me on Zep. Is that important???

Do you have any good resources for learning more about thyroid? I recently did the Everlywell thyroid test and should get results any day now but I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. The fatigue is part of what has led me to researching GLP-1s thinking maybe losing weight will help.

Dr Westin Childs on YT was a great resource for me.

Nowadays hes using his platform to sell supplements and no longer practices medicine(pretty detailed , but he DOES know what hes talking about. His older videos are the real gems and explain a lot about bloodwork, differnt kinds of medication and their applications, etc!

Of course they didnt. If your thyroid was functioning properly you (likely) wouldnt need a GLP-1 and They can bill your insurance company/you to the high fkn heavens for those meds.

Literally had a dr. that did not take insurance prescribe me TRT and Thyroid meds, moved and got a new dr, new dr was not interested in maintaining my thyroid meds because 'reference ranges' and when he sent my TRT to the pharmacy, the pharmacy told me my insurance company BLOCKED me from having access to the medication MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED ME.

Not that they wouldnt pay for it - that I could not have it.

I've worked in tech for many years, especially for rapidly growing startups constantly raising rounds with an emphasis on marketing. The masses would be absolutely shocked to learn how fake everything is online. The level of effort I've seen founders put in to obfuscate clever marketing, as something organic or educational, is high. Even public critique or outrage about a topic is often heavily scripted and manipulated to get a consumer to think about the product in question.

Oh yeah. I was anemic for 10 years. Got to the point I was exhausted and sleeping all the time. Endo referred me to a hematologist for iron infusions. Hematologist asks what iron I’m taking. Ferrous sulfate- what everyone takes right? He tells me that because of my wls I can’t absorb that and was essentially swallowing rocks. Changed me to polysaccharide iron complex. No anemia since. And I had discussed my anemia with multiple physicians!
