Hi everyone!

I’m new to all of this and stumbled upon this while going down a rabbit hole for Botox and fat dissolvers. I’m interested in learning more about retatrutide to lose the last 10-12 lbs (have attempted to for 2-3 yrs through diet and activity but very stubborn). Also, I have came across GLOW and would love to dabble in that.

I look forward to learning from you all!

Hi and Welcome! Glad you've found your way to the world of Peptides. There are definitely answers to your problem weight loss here.

First, may I ask a general question about your age? Are you perchance a female over 50? If so, you may be dealing with visceral fat which is almost impossible to lose via conventional methods (other than surgery). Older woman from peri to post menopause accumulate visceral lower on the abdomen than younger women who carry it predominantly on the upper abdomen. I think some folks aren't really aware of what visceral fat looks like, so here's an image (of a rather small visceral deposit) to assist others in identifying it.

before and after visceral fat removal

Using GLP1s is generally not helpful in visceral fat loss. Liraglutide, an older GLP1 which has fallen out of disfavor because it is once daily and because it is rather dismal at subcutaneous weight loss has been proven to burn visceral fat. But there is a peptide called Tesamorelin which was developed specifically to burn visceral fat (it is a brand name medication called Egrifta marketed for HIV patients with visceral deposits, but it works for everyone.) So far I've lost 23 lbs of mostly visceral after I added Tesa to the Reta, so I definitely recommend it.

If this information doesn't pertain to you hopefully it will be helpful to some other person at a loss for how to lose those last 10-20 lbs.

Good luck on your journey!

Thank you so much for the helpful information, I am 30 🙂. I don’t believe the extra fat I am carrying is majority visceral (I hope), only because blood tests have stated my cholesterol to be within normal limits. Though, this is only an assumption since I think the only true way to tell is via scans (?) but of course I am still learning so I can’t completely disregard.
Congrats on losing a couple stones and I really appreciate the advice!! ❤️

Thanks, and you are very welcome.

We all have visceral fat, even at our normal weight, the question is if yours is abnormal. From what I understand the Dexa scan is the way to discover what percentage of your body is visceral.
However, I did find this at home model at Amazon: InBody H20B Whole Body Composition which is supposed to measure visceral.

And I found this chart to help show how many pounds of visceral are healthy vs. unhealthy. I unfortunately am in the very high, very unhealthy category, even though I've lost all my subcutaneous fat.

Visceral fat levels

I hope yours is just subc but if it's visceral please consider using tesamorelin. It really works. Excess visceral fat is dangerous as it pumps toxins directly to our liver and can cause serious health issues. Good luck!
