How do you guys mitigate the cost of Bac water

I use all of the volume of BAC water when I reconstitute. I also reconstitute inside a sanitised Still Air Box and I wipe vials/cartridges with alcohol before and after each use. In the fridge, I store the reconstituted vials/cartridges inside a sanitised container. I feel comfortable using past the 28 day mark as long as no cloudiness or particles are present.

Hmm?
intended for single-vial use and typically provides a microbial barrier for up to about 7 days when proper aseptic technique is followed, such as disinfecting the Clave connector with 70% isopropyl alcohol before each access. It is not specifically rated for 28-day use. The spike should remain attached to the same vial and be discarded after about 7 days, when the vial is discarded, or according to facility protocol, whichever comes first.
Key Features and Benefits
  • Needle-Free Access: Allows for multiple withdrawals from a single vial without using a needle, increasing safety.
  • Venting: Many spikes (e.g., PolySpike) contain a hydrophobic filter that automatically equalizes pressure, preventing vacuum buildup and making extraction easier
    .
    • Contamination Control: Protects against microbial contamination when used with proper technique.
    • Compatibility: Designed for different vial closure sizes, typically 13 mm, 20 mm, or 28 mm.
    • Usage Duration: Often intended for single-vial use, generally recommended to be discarded with the vial or within 7 days, according to facility
Curious if anybody wipes, then reuses vial spikes for a new bac water

The 28 day thing is just a blanket FDA regulation on multi use vials. I dont follow it, water and alcohol doesn't go bad. I use sterile needles and wipe the vials with alcohol. The chance of contamination is low.

I just started a cycle of peptides after taking a break for a few years. Im using the same vials of bac water i used over 2 years ago.

Huh. You're right:

From: Selection of the Appropriate Package Type Terms and
Recommendations for Labeling Injectable Medical Products

Multiple-dose containers are generally expected to contain 30 mL or less of medication.
The beyond-use date for an opened or entered (e.g., needle-punctured) multiple-dose container is 28 days, unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer on the label.

Never quite understood the 28 day recommendation. Assumed it was following some kind of sterility testing by the manufacturer.

Love this site; I learn something new every day.

I just found out once opened Bac water vials have 28 days for use. Apparently it cant be frozen to last longer either.

I looked into 3ml bottles but apparently these are not safe for personal use.

How do you guys mitigate the prices?
I just use till it’s finished! Usually about 6 weeks to two months.

Like others have said, after opening I just throw it in my fridge and it's good as long as it's clear. I have used 2 month old Bac without a problem
Do you need to refrigerate though? Hospira says to just store it at room temp, avoid light/heat

Maybe get a higher paying job?
You’re already saving hundreds (or thousands) on the peptides themselves. Don’t lose the forest for the trees over $11 water.

I don't think expiry date of BAC water anything more than commercial is, as long as it is kept in small bottles, not subject to air from outside or contaminated by a not sterile needle. For instance expiry date for an eye ointment is not such long and the statement on the box says that it must be used within 10 days after first use. I needed it once urgently and what I have found at home was expired 3 years ago. It didn't make me blind and also healed my hurt eye.

How are you storing it? Before and after use.

Bill
I keep it in my supplement cabinet concealed in an empty box of protein bars. Thos keeps it away from any kind of light and it's room temp.

Been doing it this way my entire peptide phase with no issues.

Well damn, I'm running out of room in my storage cabinet for another small box. Running out to the garage, just got a really small cardboard box from Amazon yesterday.
